TISSNET Notification 2024
The TISSNET 2024 Notification will be released by the TISS Authorities by the second week of December 2023. TISSNET is a national-level MBA Exam for candidates who are aspiring to get admission to the Master’s Programme offered by the Tata Institute of Social Sciences. TISS has its campuses in Mumbai, Tuljapur, Guwahati, and Hyderabad. TISS PG admissions are now open for 57 master’s programs.
The TISSNET Notification gives all pertinent information, including the exam date, registration start and end dates, paper pattern, and eligibility, in brief. Here, we have listed download all the important information, as mentioned in TISSNET Notification 2024.
TISSNET 2024
TISSNET is a computer-based entrance test and it will consist of 100 objective-type multiple-choice questions (MCQ). In 2023, TISSNET was conducted successfully on 25 February 2023, from 2 pm to 3:40 pm across several centres in India. TISSNET Notification for Eligibility Criteria
As the notification for the TISSNET 2024-26 batch has been released, the aspiring candidates can check below the following Eligibility Criteria of TISSNET.
- The candidates with a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree of minimum 3 or 4 years duration or its equivalent (under the 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 or 10+2+2+1 year bridge course pattern of study or any other pattern fulfilling the mandatory requirements of 15 years formal education) from a recognized university under the University Grants Commission (UGC) of India.
- Candidates who are in their final year and have completed all the requirements (including all examinations and internships, if applicable) by 13 June 2024, are also eligible to apply.
- The candidates who are eligible to apply must submit their documents by 31 August 2024.
- At the time of applying candidates studying in a 3-year degree program should have passed in all the subjects for the 1st to 4th semesters, and candidates studying in a 4-year degree program should have passed in all the subjects for the 1st to 6th semesters.
- Until the candidate submits her/his degree certificate and final mark/grade sheet as evidence of having completed the eligibility criteria by the given date, the admission offered will remain provisional.
- If at anytime the information provided by a candidate is found to be incorrect or misleading, her/his candidature/admission will be cancelled.
TISSNET Notification 2024 for Registration
The official TISSNET 2024 Notification for registration has been declared by TISS on its official website. The candidates can apply for a maximum of three programs across any two of the TISS Campuses. The candidates can refer to the category-wise TISSNET form fees Fees given below.

Notes: (i) In case of payment by cash deposit in an SBI branch, please note that the SBI will charge Rs. 50/- as their processing fee for each deposit, which cannot be adjusted against the application fee.
(ii) Payments made via demand draft, pay order, or any mode other than the above modes is not acceptable and the application will be rejected. No communication to this effect will be sent to such candidates.
(iii) Candidates applying online will be asked to choose between two modes of payment ‘Cash’ or ‘Payment Gateway’ in the online application form. If the preferred mode of payment is ‘Cash’, a payment challan has to be downloaded from the ‘Download Challan’ tab. The payment challan will have 3 copies. Deposit the cash amount mentioned on the challan in any branch of the State Bank Of India. The bank will return two copies of the challan (Student Copy and TISS Copy) with the bank’s seal, signature, and journal number on it. Candidates have to scan the ‘TISS Copy’ of the challan, login back into the online application system, and upload it.

Note 1: Candidates applying through the online application form will have to upload the certificates mentioned above. Those who are submitting a hard copy of the application form should post along with the application form the above-mentioned documents attested by a School Headmaster or a Principal of College or a Gazetted Officer (refer to the Reservation Section on the admission website). Requests received without the above Certificates will be rejected and no communication will be sent in this regard.
Note 2: SC/ST candidates whose annual family income is <=250000 (2.5 lac) and OBC(NC) candidates whose annual family income is <=100000 have to upload an Income certificate for the Financial Year 2021-2022 issued by Revenue Officer
TISSNET Notification for Paper Pattern
TISSNET Pattern is expected to be the same as the previous years. The candidates who will register themselves for the TISSNET 2023 must note all the important details for the paper pattern and topics covered in this exam. The TISSNET Exam Duration is 100 minutes. There is no TISSNET Negative Marking for incorrect answers. Given below is the TISSNET Exam Pattern for your reference:

*Sectional cut-off for General Awareness (GA) is applied for qualifying the TISS-NET. Candidates not scoring the minimum cut-off mark for the General Awareness as above will not be qualified for TISS NET irrespective of the aggregate score
Sectional Cut Off (SCO) applied:
- GN, EWS, KM, and AF – 35% i.e. 14 Marks
- PWD and OBC(NC) – 0% i.e. 12 Marks
- SC and ST – No sectional cut-off applied
TISSNET Marking Scheme
As per the TISSNET Notification 2024, there will be a total of 100 questions, and each question will carry 1 mark. There is no Negative Marking in TISSNET Additionally; there is no sectional cut-off for the English Proficiency section and the Mathematical and Logical Reasoning section; however, there is Sectional Cut Off for the General Awareness section, and the candidates need to qualify for the minimum cut-off mark for the General Awareness section.
