Institute of Banking Personnel Selection has started the Interview round of IBPS PO Exam 2017. In this post, we are going to share the IBPS PO Interview Experience of Gradeup user Sharath Nagula.

IBPS PO Interview Experience: Sharath Nagula

  • Date of Interview: 30th January 2018
  • Interview Venue: Syndicate Bank Bengaluru
  • Interview Time: 1:00 PM
Sharath reached the center at 12.20 PM. When he entered the bank, many candidates (morning shift) were waiting in the hall for their turn. 
He had a conversation with the candiate who had completed his interview. That conversation eased his mind a bit.
His certificate verification was completed smoothly in 5 mins. Then, second shift started and they had called first five members..
 
Sharath`s serial number was 4 and so, his Got my turn quickly. The panel comprised of 5 members (4 male, 1 female).
 
These are the questions which were asked in Interview.
 
1. Introduction
 
2. Questions related to his current job
 
3. Why do you want to leave Wipro?
 
4. Tell me roles and responsibilities in  your current project.
 
5. What is your Package?
(Sharath was already prepared for these expected questions, and thus he answered them with full confidence which gave him a good start)

6. Banking related questions 

  • What are ROA and ROE? (Return on Asset and Return on Equity) Sharath explained definitions with suitable examples..!
  • Why Nationalization and explain it's significance? (He explained the reasons that led to it and the advantages of Nationalization)
  • What is Financial Inclusion and how it is being implemented? (He clearly explained with its advantages and steps taken towards it.) Few important steps:
    * Business Correspondents
    * Direct Benifit Transfer
    * No frills a/c later changed to BSBSA a/c.
    * JanDhan Yojna
    * Lead bank scheme
    * Financial Literacy program. 
  • Tell me about JanDhan yojna and what are its limits.?
  • Explained the motive behind this scheme and features of the account! (He mentioned hisadditional degree in Business management along with my ECE major degree. So questions were asked from Management side also)
  • What is equity?
  • What are the sources of funds for an organization?
  • What is Financial management?
  • Explain the difference between Management and Administration?
  • Why do you want to become Probationary Officer?
  • What are preference shares and how they are different from ordinary shares?
His interview lasted for 10-12 minutes. The Panel was very Cooperative to Sharath. They wished him good luck in the end..!
Students, it's all about the presence of mind and keeping yourselves calm for crucial 10 minutes..
