Today, i'm sharing my interview experience of IBPS PO held on 2nd February 2017.
Name : Sona Dev
Venue: Canara bank building, Trivandrum, Kerala
Interview Duration : 15 to 20 min
IBPS PO Interview Experience
Mine was afternoon shift. Certificate verification completed at 3.00pm, Faced the interview board at 4.30pm. Entered the room after asking permission.
In the Interview Panel, there were 5 members (4 Male and 1 Female).
M1(panel chairman): Ms. Sona?
Me: Yes sir
M1: Tell us your qualification?
Me: Sir i m a post graduate. M.tech in communication Engineering.
M1: So you are over qualified for this job. Right?
Me: Sir i didn't feel that i am overqualified. (Explain about the career growth and versatility the bank offers)
M1: When did you complete your post graduation. How long it been?
Me: Sir, just 6 months before.
M1: Ok. Are you married?
Me: Yes sir.
M1: How long you got married?
Me: Replied
M1: Ok. What is he?
Me: Replied that he is working in stock market field.
Then there begins a discussion about stock markets. M1, M2, M3 & M4 took part in the discussion. They ask about various indices, their importance, matters affecting the stock market.
M1: Also asked the yesterday value of nifty.
Me: Replied accurately.
M1: Ok, then tell me about brexit and its effect on stock market.
Me: Sir brexit is the exit of britain from european union.
M1: Tell me the reason for that.
Me: (cant recollect) sorry sir i cant recollect it.
M1: Then explain me its effect in Indian economy.
Me: Explained in detail relating it to stock market.
M2: So i think you can also join with your husband. Why don't you?
Me: Explained by saying about public interaction and social commitment.
M2: Interfere me many times and try to demotivate me. But i however managed.
M1: Ok, So you are a socially committed person. Then tell me two other reasons for choosing banking field.
Me: Replied
Then its the turn of M3.
M3: Tell me about aadhar card.
Me: replied.
M3: How did this differ from other id proofs?
Me: (told about biometric details and the authenticity)
M3: Who issues an aadhar card?
Me: sorry sir i don't remember.
M3: Look on your aadhar card after reaches home for the answer.
Me: Sure sir.
Again back to M1
M1: Are you ready to relocate?
Me: Ofcourse, yes sir.
M1: You are married. Will your husband let you go?
Me: Replied
(Some cross questions and finally feel they satisfied)
Then its the turn of M4
M4: Tell me about NEFT?
Me: i begin to reply
(He interfere me and ask me its full form. I replied and continued my answer)
M4: Is there any other way similar to NEFT?
Me: Yes sir. RTGS.
M4: Then tell me about that.
( i replied in technical manner. He again interfere me and say that reply as if you are a normal customer. I replied about the time delay of NEFT and the realtime transaction of RTGS)
M4: So, RTGS is more fast. Then why did more people choose NEFT over RTGS?
Me: sir, transaction charges are more for RTGS compared to NEFT.
M4: Thats the only reason?
Me: No sir, There is also another reason.
For RTGS we need a minimum transaction amount of Rs. 2 lakhs. RTGS is not available for smaller amounts.
( he seems satisfied.)
Then again baton passed to M1
M1: Tell me about your M.tech project.
Me: ( my topic was related to optical fiber. explained it. Some cross questions related to optical fiber)
M1: Explain about the technology used in jio network?
Me: Replied
M1: Tell me the name of the particular technology they used.
Me: sorry sir. I don't know
Then finally the lady
F1: What is net banking?
Me: Replied with exampled
M1: Interefere and asked me some more examples
Me: I cant recollect more and i said sorry.
M1: Ok, Your husband is waiting outside, right?
Me: Yes sir.
M1: so you can go now and take a chocolate.
Me: Sir can i take two? (One for my husband)
M1: Yeah. You must take two.(He replied with a smile as if he was waiting for the question)
I thanked all and left the room.
Finger crossed. Eagerly waiting for the result.
