Major Highlights of IBPS Clerk Prelims 2017
- The overall level of the exam falls into Moderate Category.
- Reasoning Section was the easiest and most scoring among all three sections.
- The level of Quantitative Aptitude section was moderate. It did not include complex questions but questions were calculative and time-consuming.
- English section was of moderate level. Reading the instructions very carefully is the prime requirement to score in this section.
- Most of the candidates managed to attempt a good number of the question due to easy to moderate level of the exam.

Puzzles and Seating Arrangement :
- 1 puzzle was asked, it was based on a weekly sequence.
- 2 seating arrangements were asked. One was based on people facing North Direction only.
- Another seating arrangement was based on people sitting in opposite direction facing North and South.
- Questions from Syllogism and Inequality were direct and easily doable.
- Coding-decoding questions were not tricky.
- A long numeric Series was given in Numeric Series questions.

This section comprised of 30 questions, which were asked from the following topics:

- 10 questions of Parajumble involved observation skills. They were doable.

Details of topics asked:
- Missing number series were asked in the exam. All the series were based on Difference Pattern.
- Data Interpretation was based on a tabular graph. The data related to 56 factories were given and questions were based on the production of these 5 factories. All the questions were easy and were based on topics of Ratio, Average and Percentage.
- Miscellaneous questions were asked from different arithmetic topics like Time & Work, Problem on Ages, Partnership, Profit & Loss, Time Speed & Distance, Mensuration, Simple & Compound Interest etc.
- Simple BODMAS rules based Simplification questions were asked.
