IBPS Clerk Main 2015-16 Exam Analysis – 2nd January (1st slot)

The much awaited IBPS Clerk 2015-16 Mains Exam starts today. The First Slot of the exam is over now, which was conducted from 10 am and the Exam lasted till 12 pm. Many of you have appeared in morning session of the IBPS Clerk Mains Exam. I. English Language (Total 40 Qs) 

Level – Easy to Moderate

(i) Reading Comprehension – 1 sets = 10 questions (Moderate) 

6 Qs on antonyms and synonyms

Based on gorilla and human beings

(ii) Cloze Test(Marketing Strategies) – 10 Qs. (Moderate) 

(iii) Parajumbles – 5 Qs. (Based on water conservation ) 

(iv) Sentence Improvement – 5 Qs. 

(v) Spotting Error – 5 Qs

(vi) fill in the blanks –5 Qs

II. Reasoning Ability (Total 40 Qs.)

Level – easy to moderate 

(i) Syllogism – 5 Qs. (Easy) 

(ii) Linear Arrangement – 5 Qs. ( 12 people in North South Facing) 

(iii) Puzzle – 1 Puzzle (5 Qs. )

based on Floor  (easy to moderate)

(iv) Alpha numeric series – 5 Qs. 

(v) Data Sufficiency – 5 Qs. 

(vi) Miscellaneous – 5 Qs.

(vii) Inequality -5 Questions

(viii) Seating Arrangement- 5 Qs (Square) 

III. Quantitative Aptitude (Total 40 Qs)

Level – Moderate 

(i) Number Series – (5 Qs. next term)

(iii) Data Interpretation – 5 Qs (Tabular)

(iv) Simplification – 10 Qs.

(vi) Miscellaneous Questions – 20 Qs.

Miscellaneous Questions consist of questions from different topics such as – Profit loss, Average, SI & CI, Ratio & Proportion, Time & Work, Time, Speed & Distance, Boats & Streams, etc.

No Quadratic Questions, data sufficiency asked in Quant Section. 

IV. Computer Knowledge (Total 40 Qs.)

Level – Easy  

Most of the questions in this section were easy. You can easily answer 30 questions in this section.

V. General Awareness (Total 40 Qs.)

Level – Easy to moderate

There were questions on the current affairs & Banking Awareness topics. This section also included questions on  books & authors, currencies, Important Places, Awards, Headquarters, Prime Ministers Schemes, Important Days  etc. Overall questions from this section were of moderate difficulty level.
