1. My preparation strategy for different subjects

Firstly I cleared my basics in all subjects with the use of some YouTube channels and solving BYJU'S Exam Prep quizzes.

Quant:- I followed the Rakesh Yadav books and solve as many as quizzes and speed tests for various type of questions within a time limit.

Reasoning:- I have not followed any books for this section. I have solved a lot of puzzles and quizzes from BYJU'S Exam Prep and full-length speed tests to gain more marks in final exams.

English:- I have followed the SP Bakshi book for reading portion and Renin Martin for grammar section. Although I didn't score good marks in this section, I tried hard to develop good command on these subjects in the future.

General Awareness:- I have read and written daily news from the BYJU'S Exam Prep app and then solved a lot of quizzes from different websites and before mains exams, I have taken the printouts of GK Tornado provided by BYJU'S Exam Prep to gain good marks in this section.

2. My strongest area and weakest area

My strongest section is Reasoning in prelims and General awareness in the Main examination and I set a goal to score full marks in reasoning paper. In Pre exam, I have scored full marks. My weakest section is English although I have scored decent marks in pre, whereas in main I didn't get good marks but I tried my level best to solve quizzes and speed test to gain good marks in future exams.

3. Difficulties I face while preparing for the IBPS Clerk 2018

I have faced some difficulties while preparing. I have not cleared previous year clerk main exam with fewer marks in GA and English and I overcome my past mistakes and read the daily newspaper for both the subjects. So, I have prepared for both GA and English section in a better way.

4. How did I manage pressure during the preparation?

Whenever I feel pressure during preparation I play games like chess, cricket and talk to parents. They motivate me in this entire journey to crack this exam.

5. What was my strategy in the last 2 weeks before the Phase II exam?

In the last 2 weeks, I attempted speed tests and revise GA many times by solving a lot of GA quizzes.

6. My strategy for attempting the exam

At first, I solved easy question in each section and gain high marks in my strongest section. This was my strategy to attempt all exams.

7. Role of Mock Tests, Previous Year Papers and Daily Quizzes play in your preparation

Mock test is the source of boosting energy in the preparation phase. Solving previous year question paper helps in identifying the level of questions which can be asked in the upcoming exams. Solving daily quizzes helped me in improving speed.
  • I advice all the fellow aspirants to be true to yourself. Whatever you do, give your 100% in your preparation phase.
  • BYJU'S Exam Prep app helps me throughout this entire journey to attempt daily quizzes and speed test and most useful read daily vocab and news section.
  • The most useful section includes the test series section in this app and some other sections like Daily quizzes and daily posts by mentors. I have read daily vocabulary series and articles which is posted by Kanika Ralhan.

Thanks!
