- Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards: It honors technical and other similar behind-the-scenes achievements
- Primetime Engineering Emmy Awards: It recognizes significant contributions to the engineering and technological aspects of television.
It was first conferred in 1949.
It was originally referred to as simply ‘Emmy Award’ until International Emmy Award and Daytime Emmy Award were created in the early 1970s to expand the Emmy to other sectors of the television industry.

Ted Lasso established new record by becoming the most-nominated freshman comedy series in the awards' history with 20 nominations.
Apple TV+ sports comedy surpassed record held by Fox musical comedy-drama Glee, which received 19 nominations in 2010.
Mj Rodriguez (Pose TV series) became first-ever transgender person to be nominated for a major acting Emmy Award.
The Crown won all seven drama categories, becoming the first show to sweep the major drama categories.
