  • Meaning:

      a. fill to satisfaction

  • Synonyms:  sate, satisfy, glut, quench, gorge
  • Antonyms: deprive, insatiate, bereave, starve
  • Use in a Sentence: The actor feels that satiating his creativity as an artist is more important than money.

4. Word: Diverse (भिन्न प्रकार का)

  • Pronunciation: dih-vurs/डाइवर्स 
  • Part of Speech: Adjective
  • Meaning:
    a. distinct in kind; essentially different; dissimilar
  • Synonyms: Disparate, different, dissimilar
  • Antonyms: similar, alike, same

5. Word: Integrate (एकीकृत)

  • Pronunciation: in·​te·​grate/ इन्टग्रेट
  • Part of Speech: Verb
  • Meaning: combine (one thing) with another to form a whole
  • Synonyms: accommodate, blend
  • Antonyms: disarrange, disperse
  • Usage in a Sentence: The data administrator is going to integrate the databases so we can work in one system instead of two.

6. Word:  Simmer

  • Part of Speech: Verb, Noun
  • Meaning:
    (a) stay just below boiling point while bubbling gently (धीमी आँच पर पकाना) (verb)
    (b) a state or temperature just below boiling point (कम ताप) (noun)
  • Pronunciation: सिमर (si-mer)
  • Synonyms: Stew, Seethe, Bubble, Parboil
  • Antonyms: Erupt, Burst, Freeze
  • Use in a Sentence:
    (a) After simmering the water, he added the tea leaves. (verb)

7. Word: Induction (अनुगम)

  • Pronunciation: in-duhk-shuh n/ इन्डक्शन
  • Part of Speech: Noun
  • Meaning:
    a. the action or process of inducting someone to a post or organization.
    b. the process or action of bringing about or giving rise to something. 
  • Synonyms: initiation, installation, inauguration, introduction
  • Antonyms: conclusion, rejection, closure
  • Usage in a sentence: The induction of new students will take place in the main hall.

8. Word: Barring (को छोड़कर)

  • Pronunciationbahr-ing/ बारिंग
  • Part of Speech: Preposition
  • Meaning: except for; if not for.
  • Synonyms: except, excluding, besides
  • Antonyms: in addition, accommodating, including, as well as
  • Usage in a sentence: No one, barring the magician himself, knows how the trick is done.

9. Word: Get the marching orders (बर्खास्तगी का आदेश)

  • Part of Speech: Phrasal Verb
  • Meaning: 
    a. an order from a superior officer for troops to depart
    b. (informal) notice of dismissal or discharge

10. Word: Vet (जाँचना)

  • Pronunciation: vet/ वेट
  • Part of Speech: Verb, Noun
  • Meaning
    a. make a careful and critical examination of (something). (Verb)
    b. investigate (someone) thoroughly, especially in order to ensure that they are suitable for a job requiring secrecy, loyalty, or trustworthiness. (Verb)
    c. a veterinary surgeon. (Noun)
    d. a veteran (Noun)
