  • Part of Speech: Adjective
  • Meaning:
    a. left without the means to move from somewhere
  • Synonyms: isolated, breached
  • Antonyms: accompanied, powerful
  • Use in a Sentence: The man stranded in the middle of his speech.

3. Word: Probe (जांच करना)

  • Pronunciation: prohb/ प्रोब
  • Part of Speech: Noun, Verb 
  • Meaning: 
    a. a thorough investigation into a crime or other matter. [Noun]
    b. explore or examine (something), especially with the hands or an instrument. [Verb]
  • Synonyms: scrutinize, inquiry
  • Antonyms: glimpse, absurd
  • Usage in a Sentence: I don't want to probe too deeply into your personal affairs.

4. Word: Shun (त्यागना)

  • Pronunciation: shuhn/शन
  • Part of Speech: Verb
  • Meaning: persistently avoid, ignore, or reject (someone or something) through antipathy or caution.
  • Synonyms: evade, dodge
  • Antonyms: accept, embrace
  • Usage in a Sentence: They wear simple clothes and shun modern inventions.

5. Word: Diatribe (दोषारोपण)

  • Pronunciation: dahy-uh-trahyb/डाइअट्राइब
  • Part of Speech: Noun
  • Meaning
    a. a bitter, sharply abusive denunciation, attack, or criticism
  • Synonyms: tirade, harangue, fulmination
  • Antonyms: acclaim, acclamation, accolade, citation, homage, honor, praise
  • Usage in a sentence: He launched into a long diatribe against the lack of action in Congress.

6. Word: Lapse (रद्द हो जाना/चूक)

  • Pronunciation: laps/लैप्स
  • Part of Speech:Noun, verb
  • Meaning: 
    a. a brief or temporary failure of concentration, memory, or judgement.[Noun]
    b. an interval or passage of time. [Noun]
    c.(of a right, privilege, or agreement) become invalid because it is not used, claimed, or renewed; expire. [Verb]
    d. pass gradually into (an inferior state or condition). [Verb] 
  • Synonyms: regress, error, oversight, decline
  • Antonyms: continue, progress achievement
  • Usage in a Sentence: A brief lapse in the final set cost her the match.

7. Word: Hyperbole (अतिशयोक्ति)

  • Pronunciation: hahy-pur-buh-lee/हाइपर्बली
  • Part of Speech: Noun
  • Meaning:
    a. a way of speaking or writing that makes someone or something sound bigger, better, more, etc. than they are
  • Synonyms: exaggeration, overstatement, magnification
  • Antonyms: understatement, belittlement
  • Usage in a sentence: The blurb on the back of the book was full of the usual hyperbole - "enthralling", "fascinating", and so on.

8. Word: Plugged (प्रचार करना/बन्द कर देना)

  • Pronunciation: pluhg/प्लग
  • Part of Speech:
  • Meaning:
    a. a. a very small, young plant in a small amount of soil, often sold in a container with sections that each contain a plant (Noun)
    b. the act of telling people publicly about a product, event, etc. (Noun)
    c. to advertise something by talking about it a lot or praising it, especially on the radio or television (Verb)
  • Synonyms: stopper, seal, promote, hype
  • Antonyms: prohibit, be meek
  • Usage in a sentence: All heap memory space leaks were plugged by adding releases.
                                      That interview was just a way for him to plug his new book.

9.  Word: Revered (परम पूजनीय)

  • Pronunciation: ri-veerd /रिविर्ड
  • Part of Speech:
  • Meaning:
    a. to very much respect and admire someone or something (Verb)
    b. held in high regard tinged with awe; venerated (Adjective)
  • Synonyms: venerable, esteemed, respected
  • Antonyms: outcast, despised, insignificant
  • Usage in a sentence: Nelson Mandela is widely revered for his courage and leadership.

10. Word: Credible (विश्वास करने योग्य)

  • Pronunciationkred-uh-buhl/ क्रेडबल
  • Part of Speech: Adjective
  • Meaning:
    a. able to be believed; convincing.
    b. capable of persuading people that something will happen or be successful. 
  • Synonyms: believable, plausible, trustworthy, reliable
  • Antonyms: unbelievable, incredible, unreliable
  • Usage in a Sentence: The plot is credible but the characters lack individuality.
