    b. an opposing force, principle, or tendency
  • Synonyms: hostility, enmity, antipathy, hostility

5. Word: Subvert (विनाश करना/भ्रष्ट करना)

  • Pronunciation: suhb-vurt/सब्वर्ट
  • Part of Speech: Verb
  • Meaning:
    a. to overthrow (something established or existing)
    b. to cause the downfall, ruin, or destruction of
    c. to undermine the principles of; corrupt
  • Synonyms: undermine, corrupt, debase
  • Antonyms: bolster, purify, uphold
  • Usage in a sentence: The rebel army is attempting to subvert the government.

6. Word: Anomaly (अनियमितता)

  • Pronunciation: uh-nom-uh-lee/ अनामली
  • Part of Speech: Noun
  • Meaning:
    a. a deviation from the common rule, type, arrangement, or form.
    b. an anomalous person or thing; one that is abnormal or does not fit in:
    c. an odd, peculiar, or strange condition, situation, quality, etc.
    d. an incongruity or inconsistency.

  • Antonyms: standard, normal, ewgularity
  • Usage in a sentence: With his quiet nature, he was an anomaly in his exuberant family.

7. Word: Syndrome (परिलक्षण)

  • Pronunciation: sin-drohm/ सिन्ड्रोम
  • Part of Speech: Noun
  • Meaning
    a. a group of symptoms that consistently occur together, or a condition characterized by a set of associated symptoms.
    b. a characteristic combination of opinions, emotions, or behaviour.
  • Synonyms: disorder, disease, illness, symptom, condition, infirmity
  • Usage in a Sentence: Mendez was born with the rare disorder tetra-amelia syndrome and was unable to play football growing up despite his passion for the sport

8. Word: Formidable (भयानक)

  • Pronunciationfawr-mi-duh-buh l/ फॉर्मिडबल
  • Part of Speech: Adjective
  • Meaning: inspiring fear or respect through being impressively large, powerful, intense, or capable.
  • Synonyms: terrific, tremendous, colossal
  • Antonyms: feeble, easy, friendly
  • Usage in a Sentence: They had to overcome formidable obstacles.

9. Word: Chagrin (कष्ट देना,तंग करना)

  • Pronunciation: shuh-grin/शग्रिन
  • Part of Speech: Noun, Verb
  • Meaning:
    a. annoyance or distress at having failed or been humiliated. [Noun]
    b. feel distressed or humiliated. [Verb]
  • Synonyms: disappointment, embarrass
