  • Meaning:
    a. a short, heavy stick used for hitting people (noun)

  • Synonyms: beat, batter, bludgeon, stick, baton

3. Word: Stall (अवरुद्ध)

  • Pronunciation: stawl/स्टॉल्
  • Part of Speech: Noun, Verb
  • Meaning
    a. to cause (a motor or the vehicle it powers) to stop, especially by supplying it with a poor fuel mixture or overloading it (Verb)
    b. to lose control of or crash (an airplane) from so doing (Verb)
    c. to bring to a standstill; check the progress or motion of, especially unintentionally (Verb)
    d. to cause to stick fast, as in mire or snow (Verb)
    e. a booth or stand in which merchandise is displayed for sale (Verb)
    f. a stable or shed for horses or cattle (Noun)

4. WordUmbrage (अपमान, नाराज़ी)

  • Pronunciation: uhm-brij/ अम्ब्रिज
  • Part of Speech: Noun
  • Meaning: 
    a. to feel upset or annoyed, usually because you feel that someone has been rude or shown no respect to you

  • Synonyms: offence, pique, resentment, indignation, grudge
  • Antonyms: like, pleasure, love, comfort
  • Usage in a Sentence: Will she take umbrage if she isn't invited to the wedding?

5. Word: Imperial (बादशाही/साम्राज्य-संबंधी)

  • Pronunciation: im-peer-ee-uhl/इम्पीरीअल
  • Part of Speech: Adjective
  • Meaning:
    a. belonging or relating to an empire or the person or country that rules it (Adjective)
    b. the imperial system of measurement uses units such as inches, miles, and pints (Adjective)
  • Synonyms: royal, majestic, regal, kingly
  • Antonyms: minor, lowborn, humble
  • Usage in a sentence: The play is set in imperial Rome.

6. Word: Trajectory (प्रक्षेपपथ)

  • Pronunciation: truh-jek-tuh-ree/ट्रजेक्टरी
  • Part of Speech: Noun
  • Meaning
    a. the curved path that an object follows after it has been thrown or shot into the air
  • Synonyms: course, track, orbit
  • Antonyms: off-track, distraction, disorientation
  • Usage in a sentence:The missile came in on a very low trajectory.

7. Word: Magnitude (मात्रा/महत्ता)

  • Pronunciation: mag-ni-tood/मैग्निटूड
  • Part of Speech: Noun
  • Meaning:
    a. size; extent; dimensions
    b. great importance or consequence
    c. greatness of size or amount
    d. moral greatness
  • Synonyms: size, extent, amount, degree, scale
  • Antonyms: puniness, minuteness
  • Usage in a sentence: They don't seem to grasp the magnitude of the problem.

8. Word: Dispense (प्रदान करना)

  • Pronunciation: डिस्पेन्स/dih-spens 
  • Part of Speech: Verb
  • Meaning:
    a. to give out things, especially products, services, or amounts of money
    b. to provide something such as a service, money, or information
  • Synonyms: distribute, allot, dole out
  • Antonyms: receive, abduct, beg
  • Usage in a sentence: There is a vending machine on the platform that dispenses snacks.

9.  Word: Aggravate (बिगाड़ना)

  • Pronunciation: ag-ruh-veyt/ ऐग्रवेट
  • Part of Speech: Verb
  • Meaning: make (a problem, injury, or offence) worse or more serious
  • Synonyms: irritate, provoke, annoy
  • Antonyms: calm, sooth, relieve, comfort
  • Usage in a Sentence: Cigarettes can aggravate the symptoms of a cold.

10. Word: Obscure (अस्पष्ट)

  • Pronunciation: obs-cure/अब्स्क्युर
  • Part of Speech: Adjective, Verb
  • Meaning: 
    a. not discovered or known about; uncertain (Adjective)
    b. keep from being seen, conceal (Verb)
  • Synonyms: ambiguous, hidden
  • Antonyms: clear, common
