5. Word: Contention (कन्टेन्शनप्रतिस्पर्धा/वाग्युद्ध)

  • Pronunciation: kuhn-ten-shuhn/
  • Part of Speech: Noun
  • Meaning:
    a. a struggling together in opposition; strife
    b. a striving in rivalry; competition; contest
    c. strife in debate; dispute; controversy

    b. a merging of efforts or interests by persons, families, states, or organizations:
  • Synonyms: union, association, coalition

8. Word: Veteran (अनुभवी)

  • Pronunciation: vet-er-uh n/वेट्रन
  • Part of Speech: Noun, Adjective
  • Meaning
    a. a person who has had long service or experience in an occupation, office, or the like (Noun)
    b. a person who has served in a military force, especially one who has fought in a war (Noun)

  • Part of Speech: Noun
  • Meaning: 
    a. the set of beliefs, ideas, etc. about the social behavior and relationships of a person or group
  • Synonyms: ethics, principles, philosophy, culture, mindset
  • Usage in a sentence: Most companies have a corporate ethos.

10. Word: Zealous (उत्साही)

  • Pronunciation: zel-uh s/ज़ेलस
  • Part of Speech: Noun
  • Meaning: having or showing zeal (great energy or enthusiasm)
  • Synonyms: enthusiastic, passionate
