  • Meaning: inciting or causing people to rebel against the authority of a state or monarch.
  • Synonyms: Rebellious, Mutinous
  • Antonyms: Loyal, devoted
  • Usage in a Sentence: He fell under suspicion for distributing seditious pamphlets.

4. Word: Brush Aside (नज़रअंदाज़ करना)

  • Part of Speech: Phrasal Verb
  • Meaning: to refuse to accept that something is important or true
  • Pronunciation:  ब्रश असाइड
  • Synonyms: disregard, reject

5. Word: Litigation (मुकदमे बाजी)

  • Pronunciation:lit-i-gey-shuh n/लिटगैशन
  • Part of Speech: Noun
  • Meaning: 
    a. the process of taking legal action.
  • Synonyms: proceeding, dispute, contention
  • Antonyms: compromise, accord, truce
  • Use in a Sentence: The payment was made early to avoid litigation.

6.  Word: Statute (अधिनियम)

  • Pronunciation: stach-oot/ स्टैचूट
  • Part of Speech: Noun
  • Meaning:
    a. an enactment made by a legislature and expressed in a formal document.
    b. International Law. an instrument annexed or subsidiary to an international agreement, as a treaty.
    c. a permanent rule established by an organization, corporation, etc., to govern its internal affairs.
  • Synonyms: regulation, decree, ordinance 
  • Antonyms: refrain, convict, anarchy
  • Usage in a sentence: Although there is no general law of adoption, yet it is permitted by a statute amongst various religions and constitutions. 

7. Word: Flag (मुद्रण चेतावनी)

  • Pronunciation: flag/फ्लैग
  • Part of Speech: Noun, Verb
  • Meaning:
    a. to place a flag or flags over or on; decorate with flags (Verb)
    b. to signal or warn (a person, automobile, etc.) with or as if with a flag (sometimes followed by down) (Verb)
    c. the tuft of long feathers on the legs of falcons and most hawks; the lengthened feathers on the crus or tibia (Noun)
    d.the name of a newspaper as printed on the editorial page (Noun)
    e. the name of a newspaper as printed on the editorial page (Noun)
    f. to become tired, weaker, or less effective (Verb)
  • Synonyms: banner, droop, pennant, decline
  • Antonyms: strengthen, work hard, go to the limit
  • Usage in a sentence: Despite being flagged as hazardous, the authorities refused to relocate the factory till it was too late.

8. Word: Unrelenting (निर्मम/कठोर)

    a. not relenting; not yielding or swerving in determination or resolution, as of or from opinions, convictions, ambitions, ideals, etc.
    b. not easing or slackening in severity
    c. maintaining speed, effort, vigor, intensity, rate of advance, etc.
  • Synonyms: relentless, inexorable, inflexible, uncompromising
  • Antonyms: sympathetic, benevolent
  • Usage in a sentence: She will be remembered as an unrelenting opponent of racial discrimination.

9. Word: Apex (चोटी)

  • Pronunciation: ey-peks/ एपेक्स
  • Part of Speech: Noun
  • Meaning: the top or highest part of something, especially one forming a point.
  • Synonyms: peak, acme, zenith
  • Antonyms: nadir, bottom, base
  • Usage in a sentence: He was at the apex of his career.

10. Word:  Aggrieved (पीड़ित)

  • Pronunciation: अग्रीव्ड/ag-grieved
  • Part of Speech: Adjective
  • Meaning - angry or resentful due to unjust treatment
  • Synonyms - resentful, distressed/disturbed, angry.
  • Antonyms - Pleased, Happy, satisfied
  • Usage in a sentence -  When the teacher accused the wrong student of throwing the piece of paper, the aggrieved student’s face grew red with anger.
