4. Word: Bolster (सहारा)

  • Pronunciationbohl-ster/ बोल्स्टर
  • Part of Speech: Verb
  • Meaning: support or strengthen.
  • Synonyms: reinforce, brace, fortify
  • Antonyms: obstruct, weaken, hinder
  • Usage in a Sentence: He is making a strong effort to bolster the territory's confidence.

5. Word: Vetted (निरीक्षण किया) 

  • Pronunciation: vet-ted
  • Part of speech: Verb
  • Meaning: make a careful and critical examination of (something).
  • Synonyms:  assess, evaluate, look over, review
  • Antonyms: ignore, neglect
  • Usage in a sentence:  The book was vetted by several different editors before publishing.

6. Word: Fraught (भारयुक्त, व्याकुल)

  • Pronunciation: frawt/ फ्रॉट
  • Part of Speech: Adjective
  • Meaning
    a. (of a situation or course of action) filled with or likely to result in (something undesirable).
    b. causing or affected by anxiety or stress.
  • Synonyms: charged, laden, anxious, worried, upset, distraught, overwrought, agitated, distressed, distracted, desperate
  • Antonyms: devoid, bare, destitute
  • Usage in a Sentence: The long journey through the tropical forest was fraught with danger.

7. Word: Embark (आरंभ करना)

  • Pronunciation: em-bahrk/इम्बार्क
  • Part of Speech: Verb 
  • Meaning:
    a. to board a ship, aircraft, or other vehicle, as for a journey.
    b. to start an enterprise, business, etc.
    c. to put or receive on board a ship, aircraft, or other vehicle.
    d. to involve (someone) in an enterprise.
    e. to venture or invest (something) in an enterprise.
  • Synonyms: board, start, enter
  • Antonyms: end, stop, conclude
  • Usage in a sentence: She was now ready to embark on her journey of adventure. 

8. Word: Modicum (अल्प)

  • Pronunciation: Mod-e-cum/माडिकम
  • Part of Speech:  Noun
  • Meaning - a small quantity of a particular thing, especially something desirable or valuable 
  • Synonyms - ounce, shred
  • Antonyms - lot, total
  • Usage in a sentence - All I need is a modicum of money to pay for my basic needs.

9.  Word: Cumbersome (दुखदायक)

  • Pronunciation: kuhm-ber-suh m/कम्बर्सम
  • Part of Speech: Adjective
  • Meaning:
    a. large or heavy and therefore difficult to carry or use; unwieldy.
    b. slow or complicated and therefore inefficient.
  • Synonyms: awkward, clumsy, heavy, bulky, unmanageable
  • Antonyms: graceful, convenient, handy
  • Usage in a Sentence:  The organization changed its cumbersome policies to something more streamlined.

10. Word: Ceasefire (युद्धविराम)

  • Pronunciation: sees-fahyuh r

  • Meaning: a temporary suspension of fighting.
  • Synonyms: truce, armistice, peace
  • Antonyms: struggle, war, conflict

The guest fraught against the modicum food servings. Many felt cumbersome as the event was quite clumsy to embark. Nothing was going according to the plan. There were so many chaos around. People pick at the dishes randomly and some even pack it for their house which made if even more deficit. No one was there to vet the welfare of the guest. Everybody was busy dancing. It was all so unmanageable.
