  • Antonyms: disassemble, detach, separate, unfasten
  • Usage in a sentence: They decided to tack an amendment to the bill.

 3Word: Fraught (भारयुक्त, व्याकुल)

  • Pronunciation: frawt/ फ्रॉट
  • Part of Speech: Adjective
  • Meaning
    a. (of a situation or course of action) filled with or likely to result in (something undesirable).
    b. causing or affected by anxiety or stress.
  • Synonyms: charged, laden, anxious, worried, upset, distraught, overwrought, agitated, distressed, distracted, desperate
  • Antonyms: devoid, bare, destitute
  • Usage in a Sentence: The long journey through the tropical forest was fraught with danger.

4. Word: Stance (उद्देश्य)

  • Pronunciation: stans/ स्टैन्स
  • Part of Speech: Noun
  • Meaning: the attitude of a person or organization towards something; a standpoint.
  • Synonyms: position, posture, attitude, opinion
  • Usage in a sentence: The doctor's stance on the issue of abortion is well known.


5. Word: Incumbent (अवलंबी)

  • Pronunciation: in-kuhm-buh nt/ इन्कम्बन्ट
  • Part of Speech: Adjective, Noun
  • Meaning:
    a. necessary for (someone) as a duty or responsibility. [Adjective]
    b. the holder of an office or post. [Noun]
  • Synonyms: necessary, tenured, compulsory, officeholder
  • Antonyms: optional, unnecessary
  • Usage in a sentence: It is incumbent upon all users of this equipment to familiarize themselves with the safety procedure.

6. Phrase: Shrug off (हटाना)

  • Pronunciation: shrug-awf/श्रग ऑफ
  • Meaning:
    a. to minimize the importance of; dismiss
    b. to get rid of
    c. to wriggle out of or push off (clothing)
  • Synonyms: disregard, brush aside, overlook
  • Usage in a sentence:  You're a father and you can't simply shrug off your responsibility for your children. 

7. Word: Ostensibly (काल्पनिक रूप से)

  • Pronunciation: o-sten-suh-buh l/ ओस्तेंसिब्ली
  • Part of Speech: Adverb
  • Meaning: as appears or is stated to be true, though not necessarily so; apparently
  • Synonyms: apparently, seemingly, allegedly, superficially
  • Antonyms: truly, improbably, unlikely
  • Usage in a SentenceOstensibly he was on a business trip, but he spent most of the time on the beach

8. Word: Sanguine (विश्वासपूर्ण)

  • Pronunciation: sang-gwin/ सैंगविन
  • Part of Speech: Adjective
  • Meaning: optimistic or positive, especially in an apparently bad or difficult situation.
  • Synonyms: hopeful, confident
  • Antonyms: pessimistic, unhappy
  • Usage in Sentence: The man tends to take a sanguine view of the problems involved.

9. Word: Prognosticate (पूर्व संकेत करना)

  • Pronunciation: prog-nos-ti-keyt/प्राग्नास्टकेट
  • Part of Speech: Verb
  • Meaning:
    a. to give a judgment about what is likely to happen in the future, especially in connection with a particular situation
  • Synonyms: predict, foretell, forecast, portend
  • Antonyms: ignore
  • Usage in a sentence: He is in a good position to prognosticate on the future of commerce.

10. Word: Profiteer (अनुचित लाभ कमाना)

  • Pronunciation: prof-i-teer/ प्राफिटीर
  • Part of Speech: Verb, Noun
  • Meaning:
    a. make or seek to make an excessive or unfair profit, especially illegally (Verb)
    b. a person who profiteers (Noun)
  • Synonyms: overcharge, racketeer, extortion, exploit
  • Antonyms:  lender, overachiever
