  • Meaning: said, without proof, to have taken place or to have a specified illegal or undesirable quality.
  • Synonyms: supposed, claimed, assumed, stated, presumed
  • Antonyms: confirmed, indisputable, authentic
  • Usage in a Sentence: The state investigation found more alleged crimes than the internal investigations uncovered.

 3.Word: Apex (चोटी)

  • Pronunciation: ey-peks/ एपेक्स
  • Part of Speech: Noun
  • Meaning: the top or highest part of something, especially one forming a point.
  • Synonyms: peak, acme, zenith
  • Antonyms: nadir, bottom, base
  • Usage in a sentence: He was at the apex of his career.

4. Word: Cognisance (परिज्ञान)

  • Pronunciation: kog-nuh-zuh ns/काग्निज़न्स
  • Part of Speech: Noun
  • Meaning: knowledge or awareness.
  • Synonyms: observance, realization
  • Antonyms: unconsciousness
  • Usage in a Sentence: Such understanding is beyond his cognisance.

5. Word:  Aggrieved (पीड़ित)

  • Pronunciation: अग्रीव्ड/ag-grieved
  • Part of Speech: Adjective
  • Meaning - angry or resentful due to unjust treatment
  • Synonyms - resentful, distressed/disturbed, angry.
  • Antonyms - Pleased, Happy, satisfied
  • Usage in a sentence -  When the teacher accused the wrong student of throwing the piece of paper, the aggrieved student’s face grew red with anger.

6. Word: Zeal (उत्साह)

  • Pronunciation: zeel
  • Part of Speech: Noun
  • Meaning -a lot of energy, effort, and enthusiasm
  • Synonyms - enthusiasm,eagerness ,passion
  • Antonyms -Laziness, indifference, neglect
  • Usage in a sentence - Ramya’s zeal made her stand apart from all the other candidates during the interview process.

7. Word: Acquittal (दोषमुक्ति)

  • Pronunciation: uh-kwit-l/अक्विटल
  • Part of Speech: Noun
  • Meaning: 
    a. the act of acquitting; discharge
    b. the state of being acquitted; release
    c. the discharge or settlement of a debt, obligation, etc
    d. (Law) judicial deliverance from a criminal charge on a verdict or finding of not guilty
  • Synonyms: discharge, exculpation, pardon, release
  • Antonyms: blame, condemnation, censure
  • Usage in a sentence: The first trial ended in a hung jury, the second in acquittal.

8. WordAppellate (अपील-संबंधी)

  • Pronunciation: uh-pel-it/ अपेलैट
  • Part of Speech: Adjective
  • Meaning: (especially of a court) concerned with or dealing with applications for decisions to be reversed.
  • Synonyms: judicial, appeal, proceedings
  • Antonyms: illegal, discriminatory, captivated
  • Usage in Sentence: The appellate court affirmed the judgement of the lower court.

9. Word: Vitiate (हानि पहुंचाना)

  • Part of Speech: Verb
  • Meaning: spoil or impair the quality or efficiency of.
  • Pronunciation: vish-ee-eyt/विशीएट 
  • Synonymscorrupt, degrade, annul
  • Antonyms: benefit, validate, affirm
  • Use in a Sentence: The updations at this point of time may vitiate the entire system.

10. Word: Prosecution (अनुसरण)

  • Pronunciation: pros-i-kyoo-shuh n/ प्रासक्यूशन
  • Part of Speech: Noun
  • Meaning
    a. the institution and conducting of legal proceedings against someone in respect of a criminal charge.
    b. the party instituting or conducting legal proceedings against someone in a lawsuit.
    c. the continuation of a course of action with a view to its completion.
