  • Meaning
    a. empty, and not welcoming or attractive
    b. bare, desolate, and often windswept
    c. cold and piercing; raw
  • Synonyms: depressing, dark, dismal, grim
  • Antonyms: bright, hopeful, pleasant, encouraging
  • Usage in a sentence: The economic outlook looked bleak after the pandemic but it seems recovery is on the cards. 

4. WordResilience (तन्यकता)

  • Pronunciation: ri-zil-yuh ns/रिज़िलीअन्स
  • Part of Speech: Noun
  • Meaning:
    a. the capacity to recover quickly from difficulties; toughness.
    b. the ability of a substance or object to spring back into shape; elasticity.
  • Synonyms:  flexibility, plasticity, elasticity, resistance
  • Antonyms: frailty, rigidity
  • Usage in a Sentence: My mother has shown great resilience to stress.

5. Word: Reap (एकत्र करना)

  • Pronunciation: reep/रीप
  • Part of Speech: Verb
  • Meaning: a. cut or gather (a crop or harvest).
    b. receive (something, especially something beneficial) as a consequence of one's own or another's actions.
  • Synonyms: receive, obtain, get, acquire, secure
  • Antonyms: relinquish, raise, amalgamate, yield
  • Usage in a Sentence: You must reap what you have sown. 

6. Word: Soaring (ऊपर का चढ़ाव)

  • Meaning: 
    a. to rise or ascend to a height
    b. an act or instance of soaring
  • Synonyms: climbing, towering, ascending

  • Meaning: a person who favors a radical and immediate approach to the achievement of a set of goals or the completion of a program.
  • Synonyms: uncompromising, extremist, inflexible, unyielding
  • Antonyms: conciliatory, flexible, moderate
  • Usage in a sentence: The book is minimalist in material but maximalist in emotion.

8. WordImperative (आज्ञार्थक,जरूरी)

  • Pronunciation: im-per-uh-tiv/इम्पेरटिव
  • Part of Speech: Adjective, Noun
  • Meaning: 
    a. of vital importance; crucial. [Adjective]
    b. giving an authoritative command; peremptory. [Adjective]
    c. an essential or urgent thing. [Noun]
  • Synonyms: necessary, obligatory, requisite
  • Antonyms: nonessential, insignificant, needless
  • Usage in a Sentence: In an organization, a prompt reply is imperative.

9. Word: Invasion (आक्रमण)

  • Pronunciation: in-vey-zhuh n/ इन्वेश़न
  • Part of Speech: Noun
  • Meaning
    a. an instance of invading a country or region with an armed force.
    b. an unwelcome intrusion into another's domain.
    c. an incursion by a large number of people or things into a place or sphere of activity.

    a. tending or threatening to destroy
    b. satirical, ironic, or caustic in an effective way
  • Synonyms: destructive, ravaging, disastrous,destroying
