1. Dhruvi Patel wins Miss India Worldwide 2024
- Dhruvi Patel (Computer Information System student from the USA has been declared the winner of Miss India Worldwide 2024.
- Lisa Abdoelhak from Suriname was declared the first runner-up.
- Malvika Sharma from the Netherlands was adjudged the second runner-up in the same race.
- The beauty pageant is organised by New York-based India Festival Committee and is headed by Indian-Americans Neelam and Dharmatma Saran.
- The crown is celebrating its 31st anniversary this year.

3. World Alzheimer's Day 2024 : 21st September
- World Alzheimer's Day is celebrated globally on 21st September to battle the stigma associated with dementia and Alzheimer's disease, encourage understanding, and increase public awareness of these disorders.
- The 2024 theme for World Alzheimer's Day is "Time to act on dementia, Time to act on Alzheimer's".
- This year's initiatives center on eradicating the persistent stigma and discrimination associated with dementia and on improving public perceptions of the illness.

4. Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav leads cleanup campaign at Juhu beach
- The Union Minister Bhupendra Yadav, led the country in this year's Clean the Beach Campaign on the occasion of the International Coastal Clean-up Day(21 September 2024) to clean the beach at Juhu in Mumbai.
- The Clean the Beach Campaign was simultaneously undertaken on more than 100 beaches across the country.
- The campaign is part of the government of India’s “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan” and “Swachh Sagar Abhiyan,”.
