FCI AGM Selection Process 2022: The Food Corporation of India (FCI) will soon be releasing the notification for the AGM (Assistant General Manager) posts under Category 1. The eligible candidates will be able to apply for the posts of AGM– General Administration, Technical, Law, Accounts, and Medical Officer.

The candidates then have to appear for the entire FCI AGM selection procedure. Failing to achieve the desired score at any stage of the FCI AGM selection process will not be shortlisted for the next round of selection. The candidates cracking all the stages of the FCI AGM selection process will be working in FCI offices all over India. FCI follows a set selection process for all its FCI AGM recruitments.

FCI AGM Selection Process 2022

FCI is one of the largest public undertakings and is a statutory body run by the government of India. It looks over the supply chain and operation as they relate to food grain. FCI works to ensure fair prices for the farmers, equal and fair distribution of the food grain, regulation of food grain price, etc.

FCI AGM Selection Stages

As mentioned, FCI will be recruiting eligible candidates for the AGM posts in the domains of:

The FCI AGM selection process includes an online test and an interview. Candidates who clear both and have the proportionate score as set by FCI are recruited as AGMs.

FCI AGM Selection Process - Stage 1

The online exam is held at the centres decided by FCI and is a computer-based exam. The exam has Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and there is no negative marking.

The candidates applying for FCI AGM (General Administration) posts are tested on the following subjects –

  • Reasoning, Data Analysis, and Numerical Ability
  • Current Affairs and General Awareness
  • Management and Management Ethics
  • Agriculture, Agriculture Economy and Computer Skills

The candidates applying for other AGM posts (Technical, Law, and Accounts) are tested on the following subjects –

  • Reasoning, Data Analysis, and Numerical Ability
  • Current Affairs and General Awareness
  • Management and Management Ethics
  • Agriculture, Agriculture Economy and Computer Skills
  • Questions related to their respective discipline

FCI AGM Selection Process - Stage 2

Candidates are shortlisted for the interview on the basis of their performance and score in the online exam. The score must be 50% in order to be eligible for the interview round (45% for ST, SC, OBC, and Persons with Benchmark Disability).

After the interview, the FCI AGM selection process includes consideration of both, the online exam and interviews. The online exam has a weightage of 90% and the interview has a weightage of 10%. The candidates who qualify the criteria and have scored well according to the standards set by FCI are recruited for the posts of AGM.
