IPPB Eligibility Criteria - Nationality

I. To fall under the IPPB Nationality Category a candidate must be either a citizen of India or a subject of Nepal/Bhutan/ Tibetan Refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India.

II. Or he/she should be the person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

 

IPPB Age Limit Criteria

1) The minimum age of the candidate should be 20 years as on 1st September 2017 and maximum it should be 30 years.

2) The date mentioned for the age limit means the candidate should not be born before 02nd September 1987 and also, he/she not be born after 1st September 1997 where both dates are inclusive.

3) Maximum age indicated is for General category candidates. The SC, the ST, OBC, PWD and Ex-Servicemen applicants would be eligible for age relaxation as per the Government of India guidelines, as under:

IPPB Eligibility Criteria - Educational Qualification

A) To be eligible for IPPB (India Post Payment Bank) 2017-18 Exam the candidate must have completed his graduation from a government recognised university or approved by the government.

B) Candidates those who fulfil the minimum education qualification with postal services or sales of financial products/rural banking/ with experience as Business Correspondent for banks are also eligible.

C) Candidates who are awaiting their results of the qualifying examination OR who have not passed the qualifying examination on or before 01st September 2017 are not eligible.

D) Also, the percentage obtained in graduation should be calculated to the nearest two decimals in the online application. Where CGPA / OGPA is awarded, the same and it should be converted into the percentage and indicate the same in the online application. For example, if a candidate scored 59.99% it will be treated as less than 60%.
