It is essential to know the Canara Bank SO Eligibility Criteria 2021 for appearing in the selection procedure for recruitment. It is important that you fulfill all the criteria for eligibility set by the bank authorities. As a candidate, you must meet the Canara Bank SO age limit and minimum qualification.

The notification (CB/RP/2/2020) released by Canara bank invites application for the recruitment of specialist officers (SO) in various disciplines such as Scale I & Scale II; and special recruitment for scheduled tribe (ST) category in Scale II & Scale III. The notification strictly mentions that eligible candidates need to apply online. Eligibility would be considered on the basis of academic qualification, age, and post-qualification work experience as of October 1, 2020. The grade scales may also be written as follows –

  • JMGS I – Junior Management Grade Scale I
  • MMGS II and III – Middle Management Grade Scale II and III

Canara Bank SO Criteria for Nationality/Citizenship

As per Canara Bank SO Eligibility Criteria 2021, a candidate must be either a citizen of India; a subject of Nepal; a subject of Bhutan or a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 01.01.1962 or someone of Indian origin migrated from Sri Lanka, Burma, Pakistan, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Zaire, Malawi, Vietnam, and Ethiopia to permanently settle in India, provided that such candidate belonging to above categories possesses a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.

ETL specialist, Backup administrator, 

Network administrator, Antivirus administrator, Programmer, OFSAA administrator/OFSS techno-functional, SOC Analyst,

B.Tech/B.E/M.Tech in computer technology /computerscience./computer eng./computer science; technology/information science; engineering/electronics, MCA or communications engineering with minimum 60% marks or a grade equivalent to the first class.

Candidates with experience and OEM certification/work experience in PL, SQL scripts/relevant experience in BI experience/tools/, OEM certification/work experience/Oracle experience in Oracle as DBA/relevant work experience/ experience in the concerned field/Work experience in SOC with sufficient skills of communication, and presentation skills will be preferred

System administrator

Along with the above-mentioned qualifications, the candidates are required to hold an OS certification that is valid

Applicants having work experience in the relevant field will be preferred

Cyber forensic analyst

Along with the qualifications mentioned in column 1 above, the candidate is required to be a computer hacking forensic investigator or certified cyber forensic professional

An applicant with 2 years of experience in digital/ cyber roles and excellent communication skills will be preferred.

Penetration testers, Ethical hackers

Along with the qualifications mentioned in column 1 above, the candidates must be certified ethical hackers and, if possible, hold the CISA/CISSP Certification.

2 years of work experience in the ethical hacking fields would be preferable. 

Data analyst

B.A./M.A. or B.Sc/M.Sc in Economics/Mathematics/Statistics subjects with 60% marks or equivalent grade. 

A work experience of 2 years would be preferred 

Information security analyst

Along with the qualifications mentioned in column 1 above, the candidate should have any of the valid certifications given below –

CISA/CISSP/CISM/CCFP/CHFS/CEH/OSCP/

CCNA/ CCNP.

A work experience of 2 years and excellent communication and managerial skills would be preferred

Base 24 administrator and Data mining experts

M.SC operations research/statistics/ / mathematics/economics/ computer science/ or, B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech in computer sc./comp. tech./comp. eng./information science and data science/ engineering/ or equivalent with 60% marks or equivalent grade.

Work experience of 2 years in data mining tools.

Middleware administration and Storage administrator

In addition to the required qualifications of data mining experts, candidates with OEM certification will be given preference.

Work experience of 2 years in the relevant field. 

Manager Law

The candidate must be a Law graduate who has completed a 5-year integrated course from a recognized institution.

At least an experience of 3 years as a practising lawyer

AND/OR 

experience in a legal department as a law officer

Chartered accountant/ Cost accountant

Should have qualified the final exam of the Institute of Cost Accountants/Chartered Accountants of India.

Work experience of 2 years is required.

Manager finance

Full-Time MBA or MMS (Finance)/ Full-Time Postgraduate Diploma with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent or first class.

Work experience of 2 years is required along with knowledge of analysis of balance sheets.

  • No, there is no reservation for Ex-servicemen for Officers in Canara Bank SO Exam.

  • Any request for considering the candidature under any category other than the one in which one has applied will not be entertained later.

  • A candidate who comes under the OBC category but also comes under the creamy layer/or does not find a place in the Central OBC list for the State in which the candidate belongs is not entitled to an OBC reservation.
