Humayun was the weakest Mughal emperor due to his inexperience. Under his leadership, the Mughal Empire saw the Sur Empire gain control of most of its former holdings. Humayun, whose name means “happiness,” was the unluckiest emperor of the Mughal Empire. The great fort of Mandu, Gujarat, Malwa, and Champaner were all annexed by Humayun after his victory.

Babur’s eldest son was named Humayun. Six months after becoming emperor, Humayun stormed Bundelkhand’s Kalinjar Castle, fought the Afghans at Douhru, expelled Sultan Mahmud Lodhi from Jaunpur, and even defeated Bahadur Shah of Gujarat. But because of his flaws, his successes were fleeting.

Humayun, Kamran, Askari, and Hindal were three brothers.
It turned out to be a major oversight in Humayun’s favor that the empire was divided between his brothers.
Kamran was given control of Kandahar and Kabul.
Sambhal and Alwar were given to Askari and Hindal.
Bahadur Shah Humayun conquered Gujarat and appointed Askari as governor.
However, Bahadur Shah recovered Gujarat soon after Askari left.
Humayun talked with his brothers on the way to Agra.
The east was won by Sher Khan.
Sher Khan defeated the Mughal army at the Battle of Chausa in 1539 when Humayun marched against him, allowing Humayun to flee.
Humayun was forced to fight Sher Khan alone at the Battle of Bilgram or Ganga, also known as the Battle of Kanauj, in 1540.
After losing his empire, Humayun was exiled for the next fifteen years.
