Nana Saheb led the Revolt of 1857 in Kanpur with his administrator Tantia Tope and secretary Azimullah Khan. Nana Saheb was the adopted child of Peshwa Baji Rao II. The revolt of 1857 was spread across Meerut, Agra, Mathura, Lucknow, and nearby areas of Kanpur. Sepoys in the Bengal Presidency started it against the British authorities.
