Los Angeles will host the 2028 Summer Olympic Games. The upcoming Olympics 2028 is also known as the Games of the XXXIV Olympiad/ Los Angeles 2028 or LA28. The event will begin from July 14 to July 30, 2028, and it will be the first Summer Olympics to be held in the US since the 1996 Summer Olympics in Georgia, Atlanta. Whereas the Summer Olympics 2024 will be held in Paris. Los Angeles originally applied to host the 2024 Summer Olympics.

The Olympics or Games of the Olympiads is managed by International Olympic Committee (IOC) which also decides the host cities. The Olympics is an international multi-sport event held after every four years. The host of the Olympics 2028 shall be Los Angeles.
The first games of the Olympiad took place in 1896 in Greece and most recently in 2021 in Tokyo. Los Angeles had originally bid for the 2024 Summer Olympics. Los Angeles will be the third host city, following London and Paris. There are majorly four types of Olympics held that are as follows:
