The city of Bengaluru, commonly known as Bangalore, is called the Silicon Valley of India today. The city is located in Karnataka and is rich in culture, heritage, and technology. It all began in 1978 when the Karnataka Industrial Development Board (KIADB) built Electronic city on a sizable 332-acre plot of land. As a result, Infosys became the first significant IT business to establish itself in Electronic City.
Since then, there has been no turning back. Today, Karnataka is home to more than 5500 IT businesses, most of which are based in Bangalore.
