UPSC Question Paper 2017

The first stage of the UPSC Exam is Prelims which is a screening test to shortlist candidates for the Mains exam. The UPSC Prelims 2017question paper carries two papers- General Studies-1 and General Studies-2 ( CSAT). The General Studies-1 is merit ranking in nature whereas the CSAT is only qualifying in nature where candidates need to score at least 33% to qualify. The UPSC Mains 2017 question paper includes a total of 9 papers. Among these nine papers two are qualifying in nature ( Paper-A and Paper-B), four are general studies papers, and two are optional papers. UPSC Prelims 2017 Question Paper

The UPSC Prelims Syllabus is divided into two papers- General Studies-1 and General Studies-2 (CSAAT). Each paper carries a total of 200 marks. The marks scored in the GS-1 of the UPSC Prelims 2017 question paper will be taken for preparing the merit list, while the candidates only need at least 33% to qualify. UPSC Prelims Question Paper 2017 Analysis GS-1

The Prelims question paper in UPSC 2017 had a difficulty level of moderate to moderate to high. The Indian Polity section had the highest number of questions i.e. 23. current affairs again had 15 questions. UPSC Prelims Question Paper 2017 Analysis for CSAT

The CSAT paper of 2017 came as a surprise for the candidates. Those who thought that is the qualifying in nature and took it lightly regretted it later. Maths section was not easy and questions required understanding and the candidates all candidates faced problems in this section. The reading comprehension section required candidates to have reasonable speed. UPSC Mains 2017 Question Paper

The UPSC Question Paper 2017 for Mains contains nine papers, and all of these papers contribute to a total of 1750 marks. These nine papers are Compulsory Indian Language ( Paper-A) and compulsory Indian Language (Paper-B), General Studies-1, General Studies-2, General Studies-3, General Studies-4, Optional Paper-1, and Optional Paper-2. UPSC Question Paper 2017 Mains for Compulsory Papers

The two compulsory papers, Paper-A and Paper-B are qualifying in nature, and candidates only need to score at least 25% to qualify for these papers.
