Traffic intensity in telecommunication networks is a measurement of the typical server or resource usage during a given time, typically a busy hour. It is expressed as the proportion of time that a facility is cumulatively occupied to the time that it is available for occupancy, and it is measured in traffic units (erlangs).
If there is more than one service point open, the line will probably lengthen and more may need to be added.
