Example: S is a 6 digit number beginning with 1 . If the digit 1 is removed from the left most placed and is placed at the right-most place the number obtained is 3 times of S. What is the sum of digits of S.
Solution: As per the condition is given in the question
E when multiplied by 3 gives 1, that means E=7 and we get a carryover of 2
Now, carryover of 2 gives 7, which means on multiplying 3 by D we must get unit digit as 5, therefore = 5.
If processed in the same manner we will get the following solution:
Therefore, the sum of the digits is: 4+2+8+5+7+1 = 27.
