REET eligibility criteria 2022 will be prescribed by the Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan in the REET notification PDF. Before the candidates proceed to apply for the exam, they need to know the REET eligibility criteria and fulfill various conditions to be considered for the post of Teacher in Rajasthan. REET Eligibility Criteria 2022

REET eligibility criteria 2022 comprise age limit, education qualification, and minimum qualifying marks which are necessary if you want to be considered for the post of Teacher under the Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan. Although the age limit can be the same for both primary and upper primary, the educational requirement differs as per the post that candidates have applied for. Apart from age and education, another thing under REET eligibility criteria is the minimum qualifying marks in the written test which needed to be secured by the candidates to get REET Certificate. All these parameters are discussed below. The following factors are used to determine REET eligibility in 2022:

REET Educational Qualification

Candidates who want to apply for teaching jobs through REET 2022 must have a minimum educational qualification. The REET education criteria vary depending on the Level/Paper for which candidates have applied. Candidates can also use the REET answer key, which is the most important resource for analyzing the question paper and your performance, to improve their chances of scoring well in both Level 1 and Level 2. Candidates' REET eligibility criteria based on education are listed separately for both Level 1 and Level 2. To fill out the application form and take the exam, a candidate must have one of the following educational qualifications.

REET Educational Qualification for Level 1

Here is the educational qualification required to appear for the REET Level 1:

  • Senior Secondary or equivalent to 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2nd-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) OR
  • Senior Secondary or equivalent to 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4th year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR
  • Senior Secondary or equivalent to 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2nd-year Diploma in Education (Special Education). OR
  • Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).

Note: According to NCTE, B.Ed candidates are not eligible for REET Level 1.

REET Educational Qualification for Level 2

The following is the educational requirement for taking the REET Level 2 exam:

  • Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). OR
  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1 year Bachelor in Education. OR
  • Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1 year Bachelor in Education, by the NCTE Regulations issued from time to time in this regard. OR
  • Senior Secondary or it's equivalent to 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR
  • Senior Secondary or it's equivalent to 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4- year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed. OR
  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education).
  • Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Bachelor of Education (by whatever name known).

Note: According to NCTE, Commerce candidates can also apply for level 2 under the Social Studies section

REET Age Limit Criteria

The REET eligibility criteria for the forthcoming exam include the age limit criteria. Candidates should have a good understanding of the REET age limit criteria to ensure that their candidature meets the requirements. According to the most recent REET qualifying standards, the exam has an upper age limit too. Although, the minimum age criteria for REET Exam is 18 years. Candidates failing to fall in the REET age limit criteria will not be allowed to appear in the examination.

Qualifying Marks for REET Exam

The minimal score required to pass the written test is the REET cut-off 2022. The Rajasthan Board of Education has set cut-offs for each category. As per the latest REET eligibility criteria, there is a negative marking of ⅓ mark for the exam and the candidate has to score overall qualifying marks to get selected for recruitment. A candidate who receives a 60 percent or higher on the REET exam earns a REET qualification. Reserved groups, such as SC/ST/OBC, are eligible for a 5% relaxation in qualifying marks for REET 2022.
