Punjab Police Constable is one of the subordinate forces in the Punjab Police (abbreviated as PP). On the recommendations of the in-house committee Punjab Police Constable: Intelligence and Investigation Cadre-2021, the pay for the job of Constable was set at Rs 19,900/- (minimum pay acceptable) at Level 2 of the 7th CPC/Pay Matrix.

Punjab Police Job Profile
Police constables have a variety of job profile and work burden over them, some of the important aspects of their job profile is below:
- To maintain Law and order
- To apprehend a criminal, whether or not a warrant is issued,
- File an FIR
