CAT 2022 Exam Time and All Slot Timings: With just few hours left for CAT 2022, it is quite common for CAT aspirants to panic at this stage. CAT 2022 is scheduled to happen on November 2022. The biggest reason to panic is the undisclosed exam pattern for CAT 2022 which is creating fear in a lot of CAT aspirants as they are not sure how many questions they will need to solve in 2 hours. The CAT exam will take place in 3 sessions. The CAT slots are – Slot 1 – Morning, Slot 2 – Afternoon and Slot 3 – Evening, the details of which are mentioned below.

If we talk about the CAT Exam Shifts/Slots, CAT Authorities have decided to conduct the CAT 2022 in 3 slots as seen in CAT 2021.

CAT 2022 Admit Card
The CAT 2022 Admit Card was made available by CAT Authorities from 27th October 2022 onwards. It will be available for download until the exam day, i.e, 27th November 2022. Before leaving for the test centre, it is advised to check all the instructions/guidelines/things to carry/things not to carry mentioned on the Admit Card. CAT 2022 Exam Day Guidelines
- All candidates compulsorily need to carry the hard copy of Admit Card of CAT 2022.
- Also, all candidates must carry valid identity proof (PAN Card/Aadhaar Card/Voter’s ID Card/Driving License/ID Card issued by College or University/ID card issued by State or Central Government of India).
- Candidates must report BEFORE the reporting time mentioned in the CAT 2022 Admit Card.
- Use only the rough sheets provided by the CAT Authorities for doing all the rough work.
- Do not carry any stationery to the test centre, it will be provided at the test centre itself.
- Candidates have to get their documents verified before they proceed to their respective test labs.

CAT 2022 COVID-19 Guidelines for Test Centres
Seeing the pandemic situation spread so badly across the nation, CAT Authorities have taken various strict measures to minimize the risk of mass spread. On the day of the exam, CAT Authorities expect the candidates to follow the following guidelines to stay safe from being infected with COVID-19
- Carry your small transparent bottle of hand sanitizer (50 ml).
- Candidates must wear a mask and a pair of gloves throughout the examination.
- The Self-Declaration for COVID-19 needs to be signed and submitted at the gate of the test centre.
- Candidates possessing any symptom related to COVID-19 shall be made to sit and take the CAT 2022 exam separately in isolation with all precautionary measures.
CAT 2022 DO’s and DON’Ts
For your exam preparation, we’ve produced a list of CAT 2022 Do’s and Don’ts. The date for CAT 2022 is Sunday, 27th November 2022. Let us quickly take you through the list of DO’s and DON’Ts that candidates must follow for the exam day.
Do’s for CAT 2022
- It is crucial to arrive at the test centre before the reporting time to avoid any inconvenience when entering the exam centre.
- The CAT Authorities recommend that you wear and carry your three-layered mask, a tiny transparent bottle of hand sanitizer (50 mL), a pair of disposable gloves, and a small transparent water bottle.
- At the test centre’s gate, all candidates taking the CAT 2022 are required to produce their COVID-19 self-declaration. Entry to the test centre is banned without the submission of a hard copy of the self-declaration.
- As soon as you enter the test centre, first of all, check your place in the seating arrangement (lab number, system number etc.)
- you must follow the invigilators’ instructions. Those who refuse to cooperate with the invigilators would be disqualified from CAT 2022.
- You must complete all preliminary work on the exam centre’s provided page.
- Candidates taking the CAT 2022 are recommended to use the restroom before the start of the exam. NO CANDIDATE WILL BE ALLOWED TO TAKE BIO-BREAKS DURING THE EXAM UNLESS THERE IS A MEDICAL EXCUSE AND THE CANDIDATE HAS NO OTHER CHOICE.
- A valid photo ID proof (PAN card/Aadhaar Card/License/Voter Driver’s ID card/ID card by College or University/Any Other Government-issued ID card) with a clear photograph of the candidate (together with self-declaration) and a hard copy of the admit card (along with self-declaration) is required.
Don’ts for CAT 2022
- THE FOLLOWING ITEMS SHOULD NOT BE BROUGHT BY CANDIDATES:
- WristwatchBagssWallets
- Any piece of jewellery
- Mobile phones/electronic devices of any kind
- Bluetooth gadgets
- Items of stationery
- Candidates must sign the admit card in front of the invigilator as a condition of admission. An admit card signed before that time will not be accepted at the test centre and may result in the candidate’s candidature being cancelled.
- Any use of unfair means may result in immediate disqualification from CAT 2022. Applicants should also refrain from peeping into the screens of other candidates. This could cause major problems for the candidate who is attempting to peep.
- It is recommended that female candidates avoid having henna applied to their hands because it may interfere with their biometrics and cause complications when recording their attendance.
- Candidates should avoid loose clothing, large buttons on their jackets/shirts/tops, and several pockets on jeans/trousers/cargo, among other things. Instead, individuals are urged to dress comfortably and casually to the exam centre to avoid being perceived as suspicious.
- Candidates must not wear shoes (or any footwear with thick soles) to the exam centre. Instead, they can wear socks with sandals, and sweaters/pullovers without pockets.
- Those candidates having a metal implant (pacemaker) must accompany their medical certificate for the same.
- Candidates will be required to remove their spectacles/contact lenses for photograph and iris scanning before the commencement of the CAT exam.
- Inside the testing centre, no companions will be allowed. PWD candidates who have requested scribes must present the appropriate certificate/documents proving that they are differently-abled.
