MPSC Group C Exam Pattern 2022

The Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) is the exam conducting body and they have prescribed the MPSC Group C Exam Pattern 2022. The purpose of this exam is to find eligible candidates for the posts of Group C level posts like Clerk Typists and Tax assistants. After applying online for MPSC Group C Exam, candidates appear in the prelims exam first.

Prelims and Mains exam are the two written tests as per the preset MPSC Group C Exam Pattern. Only those candidates will appear for the next round of the selection process who will get shortlisted. MPSC Group C 2022 Prelims Exam Pattern

This exam is conducted for all five posts of group C. There is only one paper in the prelims exam of 100 marks with 60 minutes time duration. Candidates face 100 questions that carry 1 mark each.

MPSC Group C Mains Exam Pattern Points

  • The MPSC Group C mains 2022 examination Paper 2 is conducted separately for each post.
  • Paper No. 1 in MPSC Group-C Main Examination will be the same for each post.
  • All the questions will be multiple choice questions.
  • There will be two groups of questions in Paper 1.
  • The first group will be language-based. 60 questions will be in Marathi and 40 In the English language.
  • 100 questions will be asked from General Knowledge in the second group of the paper 1 exam.
  • Total time is 2 hours, 1 Hour each.
  • In the Paper 2 exam for every post, candidates will face 100 multiple choice questions.
  • A total of 60 mins will be given for the Paper 2 exam.
  • As per the MPSC Group C Exam Pattern, there will be a negative marking scheme in the Mains exam.
  • For every wrong answer, the 0.25 mark will be deducted.

MPSC Group C Exam Pattern: Typing Test

After passing the Mains exam, the shortlisted candidates for typing test will be called for it. This test is evaluate your typing speed in Marathi and English Langauge. Applicants have to show their typing skills after passing the prelims and mains exam. As per the MPSC Group C Exam pattern, they have to achieve the goals mentioned below.

  • MPSC Group C Marathi Language Typing Test- Candidates will pass this test only if he/she types equal to or more than 30 words per minute.
  • MPSC Group C English Language Typing Test- Applicants have to type at least 40 words per minute to pass this typing test.

MPSC Group C Exam 2022 Selection Process

The MPSC has prescribed a three-stage selection procedure for the recruitment of MPSC Group C posts. The MPSC Group C Recruitment exam consists of the following stages:

  1. Prelims Exam
  2. Mains Exam
  3. Skill Test
  4. Document Verification

The pre-examination for the MPSC Combined Group C examination is 100 marks while the main examination is 200 marks in total. Paper number one is the same for all the posts while paper number two is separate for all three posts.
1. Pre-examination - 100 marks
2. Main Exam-200 marks

  • A Combined pre-examination will be conducted for all three posts.
  • According to the advertisement of the combined pre-examination, the applicants will be given an option to decide whether they want to sit for one, two or three of these posts.
  • The application given by the candidate for the relevant post is / will be considered as an application for the relevant post.
  • Separate results will be declared for all three posts on the basis of the Combined Pre-Examination by determining the number of candidates to be eligible for the main examination of the respective post on the basis of the option given while applying for the Combined Pre-Examination.
  • Based on the results of the Combined pre-examination, a separate main examination will be conducted for the candidates who are eligible for admission in the main examination for the respective post.
  • Paper No. 1 of the main examination for all the three posts will be common and the examination of this paper will be held together on the same day.
  • Paper No. 2 of the main examination will be taken separately considering the duties and responsibilities of the respective posts. The main examination of the candidates will be conducted on the basis of the examination plan and syllabus of the respective posts.
  • Pre-examination is conducted to limit the number of candidates for admission to the main examination within the prescribed limits. Candidates who score a minimum or above the pre-prescribed minimum threshold are considered eligible for the main examination.
  • The marks of the pre-examination will not be taken into consideration by the Commission for the examination at the time of final selection. Also, pre-examination marks will not be communicated to the candidates.
  • The option/information given while submitting the application for the Combined pre-examination will be considered final and the next recruitment process will be based on it.
  • Request to change the / given option given in the application for Combined pre-examination and the information mentioned in the application will not be accepted under any circumstances.
