JSSC JE Exam Pattern 2023
The JSSC JE exam pattern 2023 is prescribed by the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) in its official notification for Junior Engineer (JE) post. The JSSC JE exam pattern forms a major part of devising a proper study plan for you. It gives you knowledge about the marking scheme along with the important sections that are to be asked in the exam.
This post informs you of the JSSC JE exam pattern & marking scheme as per the latest notification that has been released for 285 vacancies of JSSC JE Recruitment 2023. The JSSC JE exam shall have only one stage, the Mains stage, which will have two papers for 240 questions in total. Each question carries a weightage of 3 marks. JSSC JE Exam Pattern for Written Exam: Paper 1 & Paper 2
As we have already discussed, the JSSC JE exam shall have two papers in the Mains exam, therefore, you can find the complete paper pattern here for a better understanding of the sections that the Mains exam will have.
JSSC JE Mains Exam Pattern
- The JSSC JE Paper-1 and 2 consist of Multiple Choice Questions [MCQs].
- The JSSC Junior Engineer Paper-2 of Mains contains subject-specific questions for the Engineers from varied streams.
- The duration for each paper is 2 hours each.
- Paper 1 shall have 80 questions while paper 2 shall have 40 questions.
- Each question is for 3 marks i.e. the JSSC JE written exam shall be for 720 marks in total.

JSSC JE Document Verification
After the completion of the JSSC JE written exam, the candidates who will obtain the cut off marks shall be called to appear for the document verification (DV). The document verification process is carried out to validate your eligibility criteria that you have furnished in the application form.
You will be required to carry all of your documents in original along with a photocopy of the same. BYJU'S Exam Prep shall notify you of the procedure for this when it will be done.
