JSSC JE exam is organized by the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission to employ Junior Engineers. Candidates aspiring to be Junior Engineers in the state of Jharkhand can write the exam.

JSSC JE 2023 application link will be activated on 14 June 2023. Earlier it was to be activated on 7 June but due to some unforseen conditions it did not happen. Candidates meeting the eligibility criteria can apply for the exam from 14 June 2023 to 13 July 2023. JSSC JE notification was released to fill more than 1500 vacancies in several departments. It is a one-stage examination conducted to fill the vacant posts of Junior Engineers in the Civil, Electrical, and Mechanical departments.

JSSC JE Eligibility Criteria

JSSC JE eligibility criteria include the fulfillment of the educational qualifications and age limit as prescribed in the official notification. Candidates must ensure to follow the eligibility criteria as non-fulfillment of the criteria may lead to disqualification. The eligibility criteria of JSSC JE 2023 include educational qualification and age limit which have been discussed in detail below.

  • JSSC JE Educational Qualification: Candidates should possess BE/BTech or Diploma in Civil/ Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University. Candidates who have higher education qualifications can also apply for JSSC JE recruitment.
  • JSSC JE Age Limit: The age limit to apply for the JSSC JE is 18 years to 35 years. The category-wise age limit of the candidates is given below in the table.

JSSC JE Selection Process

The selection process for the JSSC JE recruitment for electrical/civil/mechanical engineers comprises a single-stage exam followed by document verification (DV). For candidates who want to be shortlisted as a Junior Engineer, it is a must to qualify at each stage included in the JSSC JE selection process. Hence, candidates should ensure that they plan their preparation around it for optimal results. 

After passing the examination a merit list will be prepared to shortlist the candidates eligible for document verification. Candidates who pass the document verification stage shall be finally appointed to the position of Junior Engineer in different departments under the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission.

JSSC JE Exam Pattern

JSSC JE exam pattern will be beneficial for candidates to know the total number of questions asked, marking scheme, duration of the exam, etc. Candidates must have a thorough understanding of the exam pattern to prepare for the exam in a good manner.

JSSC JE exam will be conducted in an online mode i.e. it is a Computer Based Test and shall have only objective multiple-choice questions. Following are the critical details on the exam pattern of JSSC JE.

  • There will be two papers for the JSSC JE exam, Paper 1 & Paper 2. 
  •  Paper 1 shall have 120 questions for a duration of 2 Hours. 
  • On the other hand, Paper 2 shall have 120 questions based on Civil/Electrical/Mechanical conducted for 120 minutes. 
  • 1 mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer while 3 marks shall be awarded for every incorrect answer.

JSSC JE Syllabus 2023

JSSC JE syllabus is crucial for candidates to understand as it provides them with all the essential topics to prepare for the exam. The syllabus for the subject-related paper will be based on the diploma paper and should be prepared very carefully. JSSC JE Answer Key 2023

JSSC JE answer key will be released on the official website of JSSC after the completion of the exam. The provisional answer key has the correct answers for all the questions. With the help of the official answer key, candidates will be able to know the probable scores that will help them to have an idea for the selection into the next stage of the recruitment process. Candidates will be able to challenge the answer key of the JSSC JE exam in case of any objections.

JSSC JE Result

The result for JSSC JE will be announced a few weeks after the answer key for the mains exam is disclosed by the commission. The merit list will have the list of candidates who will be eligible for an appointment to the Commission. Candidates will be able to check the JSSC JE result by using their login credentials.   • JSSC JE stands for Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission Junior Engineer. The exam is held to recruit suitable candidates for the position of Junior Engineer in several disciplines like Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, etc. 

  • JSSC JE exam date has not been announced as of now. But as per the latest exam calendar released by the commission, the exam is expected to be held in the month of August 2023.

  • The admit card for the JSSC JE exam will be released at least 7-10 days prior to the exam date. Eligible candidates will be able to download the admit card by using their login details.

  • The candidates who have obtained a diploma or have higher educational qualifications in Mechanical, Civil or Electrical post are eligible to apply for the JSSC JE 2023 recruitment. 

  • More than 1500 vacancies have been announced through JSSC JE 2023 recruitment. Last year a total of 1289 vacancies were released by the state government of Jharkhand for Mechanical, Civil, and Electrical engineering posts.

  • JSSC JE selection process comprises two stages that include, Computer Based Test and Document Verification. The candidates must qualify the JSSC JE CBT exam in order to qualify for the next stage, i.e., Document Verification.

  • JSSC JE salary is paid on the Pay Scale of Rs. 35,400 - 1,12,400 on Pay Band Level 6. Apart from this salary, there are also other perks and benefits that are provided to JSSC Je like TA, DA, HRA, Provident fund, etc. which makes it a very lucrative career option.

  • To apply for the JSSC JE exam, candidates have to first register themselves, after that, they have to fill application form, pay application fee, upload photo and signature and make the final submission.

  • The age limit to apply for the JSSC JE is 18 years to 35 years. Candidates who do not fall within this age bracket will not be able to participate in the exam. However, the candidates belonging to the reserved category shall be eligible for age relaxation.

  • As per the JSSC JE notification, there is no limit on the number of attempts. However, there is an age limit of 18-35 years which the candidates must adhere to in order to be eligible for the exam.

  • JSSC JE is considered to be a moderate to difficult exam. Although most of the courses are of diploma level, the high level of competition can make it a bit tough to crack. However, if the candidates have prepared well and are well aware of the syllabus and exam pattern, they will not find this exam very difficult. With proper preparation and practice of JSSC JE previous year question papers, candidates can easily crack this exam.
