Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) has issued a notification for recruitment to the post of Sub-Inspector (SI) of Group C in the Police Department. Online registration for HSSC SI will begin on June 19 on the HSSC's official website, hssc.gov.in

Total vacancies combined is 465, 400 for male and 65 for female. There were 400 vacancies earlier in 2019 SI recruitment which has been enlarged.

Eligibility criteria for HSSC SI recruitment 2021

Applicants must have a bachelor's degree from a recognized university or an equivalent certificate. They should also have studied Hindi or Sanskrit in Matric or class ten as one of their subjects.

The applicants must be between the ages of 21 and 27 on June 1, 2021. The reserved group receives an age relaxation.

Selection Procedure for HSSC SI Recruitment 

The candidates will be chosen based on an 80 marks Test with objective-type questions, followed by a Physical Screening Test. The PST will be a qualification test. Candidates who pass the Physical Screening Test are required to take a Physical Measurement Test.

Knowledge Test (80% weightage):-
The detailed procedure of Knowledge Test shall be as follows:
(a) All candidates shall have to undergo a Knowledge Test of eighty (80) marks comprising of objective type, multiple choice questions.
(b) The Knowledge Test shall be of the objective type having hundred (100) multiple choice questions of 0.80 marks each and test shall be of ninety (90) minutes duration. The medium of examination shall be bilingual i.e. both in English as well as in Hindi.
(c) The test paper shall include questions on General studies, General Science, Current affairs, General Reasoning, Mental Aptitude, Numerical ability, Agriculture, Animal husbandry, other relevant fields/trades etc.
There shall be at least (10) questions relating to basic knowledge of computer. The standard of questions shall be as expected of an educated person having passed graduate from a recognized University for the post of Sub-Inspector.
Physical Screening Test (PST):-
(a) Candidates, equaling seven (07) times the number of vacancies in each category on basis of marks shall be declared to have qualified the Knowledge Test (KT).
(b) The candidates who have qualified in Knowledge Test shall be put to a Physical Screening Test, which would be only qualifying in nature, to judge their physical fitness and endurance. The standards prescribed for this test shall be as under:-

Step 3: Complete the registration form by entering the relevant information.
Step 4: Once you've completed the registration process, save your user id and password and go to the HSSC SI application form.
