Bank Clerk Exam 

Bank Clerk Exam - In order to join the post of Clerical Cadre in various banks, there are two phases of exams that a candidate has to clear. These are the Preliminary Exam and Mains Exam. It’s mandatory for a candidate to clear both exams to be eligible for the clerical position. Once both phases of exams are cleared, a merit list is issued based on marks obtained by a candidate. The candidates who have got the merit list will be eligible for the bank clerk post.

Bank Clerk Eligibility Criteria

The bank clerk eligibility criteria guide you on whether you are eligible for the job application or not. Following are the eligibility criteria for the Bank clerk job that you must know.

  1. Age Limit for Bank Clerk – The age must be minimum of 20 Years and a maximum of 28 years old to apply for this post.
  2. Age Relaxation – There are 5 years of age relaxation for SC/ST and 3 years of age relaxation for the OBC category. For Ex-Servicemen and Disabled Ex-Servicemen, the Actual period of service rendered in defence services + 3 years, (8 years for Disabled Ex-Servicemen belonging to SC/ST) is subject to a max. age of 50 years.
  3. Education Qualification Eligibility - The candidate should have graduated from government recognized university. Only the valid mark sheet will be considered. They should be proficient in the official language of the State. Moreover, a candidate should be able to operate the computer and basic operation on it.
  4. Nationality/ Citizenship - Citizenship of India required or A subject of Nepal / Bhutan or the Tibetan Refugee who shifted to India before January 1, 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India.
