UKPSC PCS Selection Process 2022
Aspirants who are interested in the state civil service exam must go through all phases of the Uttarakhand selection process. The selection involves three stages viz., preliminary exam, mains exam, and interview. The final merit list is prepared based on the score of the candidate in mains and interviews.
Candidates need to score more marks than the cutoff decided by the commission in each stage. The prelims exam is a screening exam to take out non-serious candidates from the race. The candidates who fail to clear the cut-off of the UKPSC PCS exam 2022 are declared disqualified.
UKPSC PCS Selection Stages 2022
The UKPSC 2022 selection process has three stages. The stages are prelims, mains, and interviews. Check the stages of the selection process:
- Preliminary Exam: The preliminary examination acts as a barrier for non-serious candidates. The exam is conducted in pen and paper mode. The questions are MCQ. There are 2 papers in the prelims exam
- Mains Exam: The candidates who score more marks than prelims cut off. are called to take the mains exam. The UKPSC PCS mains consists of 7 papers.

Uttarakhand PCS Selection Process 2022 Prelims Exam
All candidates who had applied for the UKPSC PCS exam have to appear for the prelims exam. The prelims exam is qualifying in nature. It consists of two papers. Check the detailed prelims exam pattern here:
- All the questions are objective-type multiple-choice questions.
- Both papers will be conducted for 150 marks.
- The General Studies paper has 150 questions.
- The General Knowledge paper has 100 questions of 1.5 marks each

Candidates who score more marks than the minimum qualifying marks are decided by the commission for prelims. Check the main highlights here.
- The number of candidates for the mains exam will be approximately 15 times the number of vacancies.
- Candidates will get 3 hours to complete the exam.
- There are a total of 7 papers in the UKPSC 2022 exam.
- All the papers are of graduation level.
- There is no optional paper in the UKPSC PCS exam.

UKPSC PCS 2022 Interview Process
Candidates who secure the minimum qualifying marks in the mains exam are called for the Interview or Personality Test. The interview is conducted for a handful of candidates. The commission will make a committee to take interviews of the selected candidates. The interview mainly examines:
- The interview will evaluate the personality, character, physique, and situation handling of the candidate.
- The interview marks are included in the final merit list.
