| According to the notification of the UPPCL released previously, For UPPCL JE, the age limit should be 18 years to 40 years. For UPPCL AE, the age limit should be 21 years to 40 years. |

UPPCL JE Eligibility Criteria 2021: Age Limit, Educational Qualification
Only those applicants who possess all the eligibility criteria given by UPPCL JE & AE Exam will be called to participate in the UPPCL JE & AE Exam selection process. The candidates will be appointed to the Jr. Engineer and Asst. Engg. post only if they are able to clear the UPPCL JE & AE Cut Off Marks 2021. However, the applicants can participate in the exam only if they qualify all the eligibility factors of Junior and Assistant Engineers as mentioned below:
UPPCL JE Age Limit
Candidates who want to apply for the UPPCL JE & AE Exam must have a minimum age limit specified by UPPCL. The age limit for the UPPCL Asst. Engg. and Jr. Engineer varies.
- Applicants for the General category must be at the age of 21 to 40 years for UPPCL AE
- Applicants for the General category must be at the age of 18 to 40 years for UPPCL JE
Age Relaxation for UPPCL JE & AE Exam
The age relaxation for UPPCL JE & AE Exam will be applicable only to the Uttar Pradesh domiciles.

Note: Maximum age of applicant availing all relaxation shall not exceed 55 years.
Educational Qualification for UPPCL Recruitment 2021 for AE and JE
The educational qualification for the UPPCL AE and JE is given below in the table.
Educational Qualification for UPPCL Jr. Engineer
| Hindi Requirement | Candidates must have knowledge of Hindi and Devnagri Lipi. If the candidate has not passed High School or equivalent examination in Hindi, he/she has to produce a certificate from the head of the institution from which he passed out or from a gazetted officer in UP that he can read and write Hindi and Devnagri Lipi. |
Educational Criteria | Candidates must complete three years of Diploma examination in Electrical Engineering conducted by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Govt. of India. OR |
Candidates must complete three years of Diploma examination in Electrical Engineering conducted by any of the Universities in India incorporated by an Act of the Central/State Legislature. OR | |
Candidates must complete three years of Diploma examination in Electrical Engineering awarded by Pravidhik Shiksha Parishad, Uttar Pradesh or Diploma equivalent to as recognized by the State Govt. |
Educational Qualification for UPPCL Asst. Engineer

| Computer Science Engineering Category | A degree in Computer Science Engineering or Information Technology or a mixed discipline degree combined with either Computer Science Engineering or Information Technology. | |
Note: Degree/Diploma received through Distance learning Education will not be eligible.
UPPCL JE Reservation Criteria
- Reservations will be given to SC, ST, OBC (Non creamy layer) and EWS candidates who are original inhabitants of Uttar Pradesh only.
- Candidates who comes under SC, ST, OBC and EWS category of other states and OBC (Creamy layer) of U.P should apply as Un-Reserved candidates.
- Reservations under Freedom Fighter person or dependents of Freedom Fighters must also have a domicile of Uttar Pradesh only.
- Horizontal Reservation of 5% of Total vacancy for Ex Servicemen, 4% for Physically handicapped and 2% for dependents of Freedom Fighters will be provided to the domicile of UP only.
Character for UPPCL JE Recruitment
All the applicants should produce a Character Certificate issued from the head of the last institute attended and also from two responsible and respectable person who are not the candidates's relatives at the time of joining.
UPPCL JE Marital Status
A man who has more than one wife or a woman who has married a man having a wife shall not be considered eligible for appointment of this service.
Physical Fitness for UPPCL JE
A candidate is finally approved for the final appointment when he/she will produce a fitness certificate from a Civil Surgeon of the district.
No Objection Certificate for UPPCL JE
No Objection Certificate must be produced by the candidate at the time of joining who are working with any State Govt./Central Govt./Semi Govt./Govt. taking organization.
