SSC JE 2020 Notification Released, Online Application Begins!

Much awaited SSC Junior Engineer (JE) 2020 application has started from 1st October for recruitment of the post of Junior Engineer (Electrical, Civil, Mechanical and Quantity Surveying and contract) across the country. Eligible and interested candidates can proceed for the online application for SSC JE recruitment from 1st October to 30th October, 2020.

Eligibility Criteria

Essential Educational Qualifications 

  • Applicants must possess Diploma/ Engineering degree in Civil, Electrical & Mechanical or equivalent from a recognized university

Age limit

As on 01-01-2021

  • The age of the candidates should be minimum 21 years and maximum of 30 years (for most of the posts).
  • As per government norms, age relaxation will be applicable for reserved category.

Application Fee

  • For general / OBC candidates application fee is  100 
  • SC / ST / Ex-Servicemen / Women are exempted from application fee.
  • Candidates can pay the application fee either through cash by SBI Challan or by using net banking/credit card/debit card.

Selection Process

  • Selection of candidates for SSC Junior Engineer will include two-stage process:
    • All the candidates whose online applications are found to be in order will be called to appear in the Computer Based Examination
    • Minimum qualifying marks in Paper-I and Paper-II are as follows:
      • UR: 30%
      • OBC/ EWS : 25%
      • Others: 20%
  • Marks scored by candidates in Paper-I will be normalized and such normalized scores will be used to determine final merit and cut-off marks.
  • There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer
  • Based on the performance in Paper-I + Paper-II, candidates will be shortlisted for Document Verification
