MPSC Rajyaseva Syllabus 2023
Recently the Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) has changed the complete exam pattern for the MPSC Rajyaseva Exam from the 2023 exam cycle. Now today (21st July 2022), MPSC also announced the official revised syllabus for the upcoming Rajyaseva exam.
- Dated 21st July, 2022 MPSC Rajyaseva Prelims and Main Exam Exam Scheme and Syllabus in English Language has been published on the website of the Commission for the information of the candidates.
- Accordingly, the syllabus of the said subjects in Marathi language has been published on the Commission's website for the information of the candidates.
- However, the English language syllabus of all the said subjects will be considered final and official.

MPSC Rajyaseva 2023 Prelims Exam Pattern
According to the new exam pattern of the MPSC Rajyaseva Exam 2023, the prelims examination is conducted for 400 marks. Out of which, only the first paper marks will be considered for the Mains exam.

MPSC Rajyaseva 2023: Mains Exam Syllabus
The MPSC Rajyaseva Mains consist of a total of 9 papers. The detailsed paper-wise syllabus is given below:
Paper 1: Marathi Language (300 Marks)
The aim of the paper 1 is to test the aspirant's ability to read & understand serious discursive prose and to express ideas clearly and correctly in the Marathi language.
The pattern of the Paper 1 questions would be broad as follows:
- Comprehension of given passages
- Precis Writing
- Translation from English to Marathi and vice-versa.
- Usage and Vocabulary
- Short Essays
Note: Paper-1 will be of qualifying nature. The marks obtained in these papers will not be counted for ranking.
Paper 2: English Language (300 Marks)
The aim of paper 2 is to test the aspirant's ability to read and understand serious discursive prose and to express ideas clearly and correctly in the English language.
The pattern of paper 2 questions would be broad as follows:
- Usage and Vocabulary.
- Comprehension of given passages.
- Precis Writing.
- Short Essays.
Note: Paper 2 (English) will be of qualifying in nature. The marks obtained in paper 2 will not be counted for ranking.
Paper 3: Essay (350 Marks)
In the essay paper, candidates may be required to write essays on several topics. They are expected to pay close attention to the essay topic in order to present their ideas in an organized manner and write concisely.
Paper 4: GS Paper 1 (250 Marks)
This paper covers the topics of 'Indian Heritage and Culture, World History and Geography and Societies of Some Importance to Maharashtra'.

Paper‐ 7: General Studies 4 (250 Marks)
This paper will consist of questions to test the candidate's integrity, soundness in public life, his problem solving approach and attitude and approach of the candidate towards decision making on various problems and conflicts faced while dealing with the society. Questions can use case study method to determine these aspects.
