The Child Development Project Officer (CDPO), officially known as the MPSC CDPO Examination, is conducted bi-annually by the Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC). MPSC CDPO Exam 2021: Vacancies

  • The previous recruitment process for the post of 'Child Development Project Officer' in the Department of Women and Child Development was conducted by the Maharashtra Public Service Commission in 2018. The next recruitment was expected in 2020.
  • However, due to the outbreak of Covid-19, the Maharashtra government has banned all recruitment processes except for essential & emergency services.
  • Therefore, the MPSC CDPO exam will not be held in 2020. Therefore, the recruitment process for these posts is likely to be implemented in 2021 this year.

MPSC CDPO Vacancy 2018

  • In 2018, the Maharashtra Public Service Commission had invited online applications for 45 posts for various posts under the Child and Development Department of the Government of Maharashtra.
  • Eligible candidates were required to submit their applications online from March 20, 2018, to April 9, 2018.
  • The MPSC CDPO Examination was conducted on December 23, 2018

Note:

  • Out of 45 vacancies announced for MPSC CDPO 2018, 1 vacancy is reserved for the Persons with Benchmark Disability Category.
  • In parallel reservation for women, 30% of seats are reserved.
  • Also, 5 per cent of seats are reserved for players in the parallel reservations.

MPSC CDPO Vacancy 2015

  • In 2015, the Maharashtra Public Service Commission had invited online applications for 147 posts for various posts under the Child and Development Department of the Government of Maharashtra.
  • Eligible candidates were required to submit their applications online from March 17, 2015, to April 6, 2015.
  • The MPSC CDPO Examination was conducted on January 24, 2016

Note:

  • Out of 147 vacancies announced for MPSC CDPO 2015, 7 vacancies are reserved for the Persons with Benchmark Disability Category.

MPSC CDPO Vacancy Reservation

The Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) also reserves some vacancies for candidates belonging to reserved categories. The following are the types of reservations for recruitment in the service of the Maharashtra State Government.

  1. Vertical reservation or reservation for socially backward classes as well as economically weaker sections
  2. Horizontal reservation or parallel reservation

For direct recruitment in the service of Maharashtra State Government, 4% of the total posts are reserved for persons with disabilities.

30 per cent of the posts under the Government of Maharashtra are reserved for women.

MPSC CDPO Exam Eligibility

The candidate needs to know the eligibility criteria of the exam before applying for MPSC CDPO Examination 2021.

  • Applicants must have a degree in any Stream from the recognized board\university.
  • Medical and engineering students will not be eligible for this examination.

MPSC CDPO Selection Process

MPSC conducts the MPSC CDPO examination in two stages.

  • The first stage is the written/Prelim test. In this written test of 200 marks is taken. The format of the exam consists of objective multiple-choice questions.
  • The second stage of the CDPO exam is the interview. 
  • In the first phase, the selected candidates are interviewed for 50 marks and the final selection list is announced.
