MPSC has released the MPSC Judiciary Mains exam dates 2022 along with the application form. The application is invited from the candidates who had cleared the prelims exam in March 2022. Candidates must fill out the forms to appear for the mains otherwise their candidature will be rejected by the commission.

Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) conducts the Maharashtra Judiciary exam to appoint suitable candidates for various posts of the civil judge at district courts across the state. Eligible candidates can apply for the post of civil judge. What is Maharashtra Judiciary Exam 2022?

Maharashtra Judiciary is a 3 step recruitment process conducted by the Maharashtra Public Service Commission to appoint suitable candidates for the post of civil judge in various district courts across the state. Any candidates who wish to apply for it must have an educational background in law or relevant practice of a minimum of 3 years then they can apply for the post. 

The entrance test consists of 2 exams which are

  • Preliminary (Objective),
  • Mains (Descriptive Test), and
  • Interview process.

Every year the Bombay High Court releases openings for which the MPSC conducts the recruitment process.

Maharashtra Judiciary Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who wish to apply for MPSC Civil Judge should first check their eligibility and after confirming their eligibility they can proceed to fill out the MPSC Civil Judge Application form. Maharashtra Judiciary Eligibility criteria vary according to the candidates’ qualifications i.e. will be different for law attorneys and different for law graduates. Eligibility Criteria for MPSC Civil Judge is given below:

Law Attorneys:

  • For the law Attorneys who wished to apply for the MPSC Civil Judge exam, the age limits are 29-25 years which means candidates should be of minimum 29 years and the maximum age should be 35 years. 
  • Candidates should have a legal practice of a minimum of 3 years as a lawyer, Attorney, or Advocate in the Mumbai High Court or in a subordinate district court. 
  • It is mandatory for the candidates to know the Marathi language with any supporting documents like certificates to support this. Candidates should also be able to translate Marathi to English and vice versa. 

Law Graduates:

  • Law graduates who wished to apply for Maharashtra Judiciary must be within the age limit of 25-29 years of age. 
  • Candidates should have secured a minimum of 55% in their qualifying examination or should have passed a PG degree in law with a minimum of 55% marks.
  • Candidates should be able to read and understand the Marathi language and also be able to translate English to Marathi and vice versa. 

Eligibility for the post of Service Staff members in High Court or court subordinate in the high court, Ministry of Law, Department of Justice, and other posts.

  • Candidates who wish to apply for other posts are from Civil Judge should be within the age limit of 21-45 years. Candidates must know how to read and write Marathi Language and be able to translate English to Marathi and vice-versa. 
  • Candidates must have completed graduation from a recognized university.

Maharashtra Judiciary Selection Process

Candidates who have applied for Maharashtra Judiciary will have to clear the various stages of MPSC Civil Judge which includes preliminary test, main examination, and interview process. Candidates, in order to be considered for the post, have to qualify for the selection process with a good score. Maharashtra Judiciary 2022 Exam Pattern

Candidates who have completed the Maharashtra Judiciary application process have to appear in the preliminary examination. MPSC Judge Preliminary exam will be a 2-hour paper consisting of 100 objective questions. For each correct answer, 1 mark will be awarded and for every wrong answer, ¼ marks will be deducted.

Candidates who have successfully completed the application process for MPSC Civil Judge can download the admit card for the Maharashtra Judiciary exam. The hall ticket must be carried on the examination day. Follow the given step to download the MPSC Judge Admit Card:

MPSC Judiciary 2022 Result

The result for Maharashtra PSC will be announced within a few days after the commencement of the examination. Candidates can check the result for MPSC civil judge from the official website. MPSC Judge results will be available in the form of a PDF file containing the roll number of the qualified candidates. The candidates who have qualified for the paper will have to appear for the MPSC Mains examination.

Maharashtra Judiciary 2022 Cut Off

The cutoff for Maharashtra Judiciary can be defined as the minimum marks to qualify the paper (Preliminary) and the minimum marks that need to be secured by the candidates in the Mains exam in order to be considered for the post.
