Maharashtra Judiciary 2022 Knowledge of Marathi language
Candidates are required to fulfill the conditions mentioned below and their educational qualifications.
- To be able to speak, read and write the Marathi language perfectly.
- The candidate should have a certificate of adequate knowledge of the Marathi language.
- To translate neatly from Marathi to English and from English to Marathi.
Certificate of knowledge of Marathi language must be obtained from the following authorities:
- New Law Graduates: Principals of colleges enrolled for law courses (L.L.B / L.L.M.) Or Principals / Heads of University Departments
- Lawyer, Attorney, or Advocate: - Chief Justice of the concerned district.
- The staff of High Court and its subordinate Courts, Ministries: Heads of Departments / Heads of Offices under whose control they are in service.
- By re-entry of retired civil judge junior level in special cases.
In the case of applicants who do not have qualifications for the Marathi language, as per government rules, it is necessary to pass the Marathi language examination within six months.
