What is Lecturette Test
Lecturette is one of the tests conducted during the SSB Interview in order to judge the personality of the aspirants. Lecturette is a small speech or talk given by an aspirant, lecturette is conducted by GTO during the group task. As a part of the NDA SSB Interview, in lecturette topics – one card is provided which comprises four of the NDA SSB Lecturette topics, and out of four topics candidates have to talk on one topic for three minutes.
As the topics are concerned, there are no easy or hard topics in the card, but it’s one’s level of pre-preparation that decides it for the candidate. However, it is also believed that the topics on the top carry higher marks as compared to the topics written below in the list. Topics don’t have a specific area but comprise different natures. Some Tips for NDA SSB Lecturette
- Improve one’s communication & oratory skills.
- Be updated with current affairs, recent National & International happenings.
- Be confident while delivering the lecturette.
- Do crisp actions with smartness.
- Be an active candidate of social networking, enhances information and communication skills.
- Use accurate pronunciation and words to articulate a sentence in an impressive manner.
- Avoid silly mistakes of grammar such as his-her, has-had, etc. all these leave a bad impression.
- Keep in check the pause & breaks when speaking it will help in maintaining the tempo of the lecture.
- Practice daily in front of a mirror and speak for about three minutes on at least ten topics daily.
- Keep the lecture in a short memory card in mind while preparing the topic & unfold them in a sequence while delivering the lecture.
