M.Tech. Admission Eligibility Criteria

A candidate who wants to pursue M.Tech must have a minimum CPI of 6.5 or 60% of marks or first class in the qualifying degree, fulfilling characteristic conditions of M.Tech. admission eligibility criteria for various disciplines, as indicated below. All the institutes allowing admission to the M.Tech. courses consider this as their necessary condition for admission. 

In addition, all regular category candidates except those who have a B.Tech degree from an IIT with a minimum CPI of 7.0 must have a valid score on the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) or state P.G. entrance exams conducted by various states. CSE Eligibility Criteria For M.Tech Admission

  • Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in technology/engineering or equivalent in Computer Science or I.T.

  • A candidate with an MCA from a recognized Institution and a valid GATE score in C.S.
  • M.Sc. (Statistics/Mathematics/Mathematics & Computing) from a recognized Institution.

EE/ ECE Eligibility Criteria For M.Tech Admission

Both Electrical and Electronics branches are eligible for M.Tech. admission for the various M.Tech courses in these branches due to the common syllabus.
