CAPF Selection Process Overview

UPSC CAPF Selection Process for recruiting personnel for the post of Assistant Commandant will have four stages that the candidates will have to pass. The details about the same is presented in tabular form. The stages of the CAPF selection process are elaborated herewith:

CAPF Selection Process: Physical Efficiency Test

The candidates must perform the following activities efficiently to excel in the Physical Efficiency Test (PET). Get the complete details of the CAPF AC selection process and the requirements. Candidates who clear this test will be taken for a medical examination as part of the UPSC CAPF AC selection process. You must acquire a fit certificate to qualify for the final round of selection. If you fail to pass this round, you will not be allowed to participate in the next one.

UPSC CAPF Selection Process: Written Exam

As part of the CAPF selection process, candidates will have to appear for Papers 1 and 2. While Paper 1 is entirely an objective type paper containing multiple-choice questions, Paper 2 is a descriptive type paper containing only broad questions. According to the process, 42 marks will be awarded to you for every correctly answered question. You can lose 0.667 marks for every wrong answer, 1/3rd of the total marks allotted. This is applicable only to Paper 1. Candidates who fail to pass this CAPF AC selection process round will not be allowed for the next round.

CAPF AC Final Selection Process

After you clear the previous stages, you advance to the CAPF AC final selection procedure stage. The final round is the Interview round. You have to give your best to pass this personality test to obtain the position of Assistant Commandant. The total weightage allotted to this Personality Test is 150 marks. Moreover, it will be conducted by an expert officer of UPSC.

After you qualify for this test, the final merit list will be out. UPSC will prepare the merit list showing the names of all the candidates who have passed all the rounds of the CAPF selection process.
