The CAPF Merit list 2022 will be declared after every stage of the exam only candidates who have scored higher will be included in the list. The CAPF Exams are conducted in three main steps - The written exams, the PET/PST/MST(Physical Standards Test (PST)/ Physical Efficiency Tests (PET), and Medical Standards Tests (MST), and then finally the personal interview round. Candidates need to fulfill the requirement and qualify in order to be able to make it to the next round. 

The CAPF Exams are conducted by the  Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) to recruit interested candidates for the post of Assistant Commandants in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF), Border Security Force (BSF), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and Central Industrial Security Force (CISF).

The UPSC CAPF Exams have three stages. The UPSC CAPF Merit List is declared after each stage. The various Important Dates for CAPF Merit List 2022 as per different stages of exams are tabulated below: 

The written examination is the first stage of the UPSC CAPF exams. The Written Exam will have two papers, namely CAPF Paper 1 and CAPF Paper 2. Paper 1 is objective in nature, while Paper 2 is descriptive. There are minimum qualifying marks that need to be scored in Paper 1, and Paper 2. Candidates must also score overall qualifying marks.

This is when a candidate is considered to have cleared the written exam. Paper 1 has 200 objective questions that add up to a total of 250 marks, while Paper 2 has 6 descriptive questions that add up to a total of 300 marks. The minimum cut-off that needs to be scored varies according to the category of the candidate.

The UPSC will decide the cut-offs and declare the CAPF 2022 Merit List for Written Exam accordingly for the qualified candidates. Candidates can expect the UPSC CAPF Written Exam results along with the CAPF Merit List 2022 one or two months after the exams are conducted. 

The second stage or phase of the UPSC CAPF exams is the PST/PET/MST which stands for Physical Standards Test (PST)/ Physical Efficiency Tests (PET) and Medical Standards Tests (MST). Candidates who have qualified for the written examination will be called for the PST/PET/MST.

This test is with respect to testing the physical capabilities of the candidate. Qualified candidates are tested through a series of sports activities. Those who successfully complete all the sports tests within the specified time constraint shall be considered qualified for the interview round.

The CAPF Merit List 2022 PST/PET/MST and results will be declared by the UPSC After a few weeks of the test completion. The various criteria mentioned for the Physical test by the UPSC are tabulated below:

NOTE: If any of the candidates is found to be pregnant during the test press, then their candidature will be canceled. 

The CAPF Interview is the final stage of the CAPF Selection process. The roll numbers of the candidates who have qualified for the physical test will be published on the official website as  CAPF Interview Merit List 2022. The candidates will be required to produce the original certificates in support of their claims pertaining to age, community, educational qualifications, etc. at the time of the interview.

The interview round will carry around 150 marks. The CAPF Final Merit list will comprise the names of the candidates who have qualified in the interview and made it to the office.
