Ethics is a type of moral philosophy that "involves systematizing, defending, and recommending concepts of right and wrong behaviour". On the other hand, value denotes a person's sense of assigning importance to an action or a certain thing. In short, value is a reflection of a person's sense of right and wrong.

There is numerous Difference Between Ethics and Values. However, the basic difference between the two is that while ethics is the standardized concept of right or wrong, value is a person's own sense of right and wrong.

Major Difference Between Ethics and Values

The terms ethics and values are often mistaken for one another. However, both these terms - though a part of social sciences - are completely different from each other. While ethics denote the moral principles of the society at large, values are more personal and vary between individuals.
