UPPSC PCS Exam Eligibility 2022 Overview

UPPSC PCS Eligibility Criteria 2022 is released and set by Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC). The UPPSC Eligibility 2022 is released along with the official notification. UPPSC will conduct the Combined State / Upper Subordinate Services (PCS) Examination, 2022 for various vacancies including vacancies for forest services. Candidates must check all the eligibility details before applying for the exam.

UPPCS Exam (Combined State/Upper Subordinate Services) age limit as per the latest notification released by the commission in 2022 is as:

  • Minimum Age: 21 years
  • Maximum Age: 40 years

Note: Age to be calculated as on 1st July 2021. They must have not been born earlier than 2nd July, 1981 and not later than July 1, 2000.

UPPSC has given certain prerequisites in order to claim the benefit of age relaxation or reservation as given below:

  • Candidate must have a Domicile of Uttar Pradesh.
  • A candidate claiming for the reservation of seat must produce the category certificate from the competent authority
  • For women candidates, the caste/domicile certificate issued from the father’s side shall be considered valid
  • Candidates claiming reservation/age relaxation in multiple categories for the UPPSC PCS Exam shall be entitled to only one concession, whichever is more beneficial.

UPPSC PCS  Number of Attempts

There is no criterion related to the number of attempts given in the official notification for the UPPSC PCS exam. Candidates fulfilling the eligibility criterion can apply for the exam without worrying about the number of attempts.

UPPSC PCS Educational Qualification

As per the official notification, educational qualification for the UPPSC PCS Combined state and Upper subordinate services exam are as given:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification upto the last date for receipt of application from any recognized University.

Educational Qualification for the UPPSC PCS Assistant Conservator of Forest and Range Forest Officer exam:

A bachelor's degree with at least one of the subjects like Zoology Botany, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, etc. Detailed qualification is as given below

UPPSC Minimum Physical Standards

Minimum Physical Measurements required for various UPPSC posts like:

  1. Deputy Superintendent of Police (D.S.P)
  2. District Commandant Home Guards
  3. Superintendent of Jail
  4. Excise Inspector 
  5. Deputy Jailor

UPPSC PCS Physical Standards

Commission has given separate Minimum physical requirements for them which are as given below:

However, For the post of RFO, Commission has given some relaxation in height for the candidates belonging to ST and to races such as Gorkhas, Nepalis, Kumaonis, Gardhwalis. The relaxation in Height as:
