PSTCL Age Limit 2021
- Eligibility of age limit as of 01.01.2021 for AE(OT)/Electrical, AE(OT)/Civil will be 20 to 37 years of age.
- Eligibility of age limit as of 01.01.2021 for Junior Engineer/Substation, Junior Engineer/Civil, Junior Engineer/Communication will be 18 to 37 years of age.
Knowledge of Punjabi
- Knowledge of Punjabi is essential for all the posts for this purpose and the candidates must have passed Punjabi of at least Matriculation or its equivalent level before the last date of receipt of applications.

AGE Relaxation - For Punjab Domicile Only
The relaxation in the age limit is admissible to candidates with DOMICILE of Punjab only. The upper age limit is relaxable as admissible under rules, regulations, instructions of the PSTCL and Punjab Government.
- SC/ST and Backward Class will be given a relaxation of 5 years over & above the normal age
- Ex-Servicemen of Punjab Domicile be allowed to deduct the period of his service in the Armed Forces of Union from his actual age and if the resultant age does not exceed the maximum age limit prescribed for directly applied merit to such vacancy in the Service Rules concerned by more than three years shall be deemed to satisfy the condition regarding age limit
- Physically Handicapped will be given a relaxation 10 years over and above the normal recruitment age

PSTCL Selection Process 2021
The candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in the Online Computer-based exam which will be held in June/July 2021 tentatively.
- The question paper for each of the posts will consist of 100 objective types of questions which will carry 1 Marks each with a provision of negative marking of 0.25 marks.
- The duration of the exam will be of 2 hours.
- The questions will be concerning subjects relevant to the post, general knowledge/awareness, reasoning/numerical ability & English language.
- The Medium of the exam for all the posts will be English Only.
- The minimum qualifying marks for General Category is 50% & for Reserve Category is 40%.
